Unfortunately, Curtis Axel has been a victim of WWE distancing themselves from Hulk Hogan after it was reported he used racist remarks. Axelmania is no more. All of the merchandise is gone from WWE Shop and Axel’s Superstar page is back to being “Curtis Axelâ€. Damien Sandow is still listed as Macho Mandow for now. It remains to be seen if that gimmick is killed due to the loss of his “partnerâ€.
As you would expect, the Hogan story has blown up, with media outlets all over the world reporting it. WWE was very wise to get in front of it and distance themselves from Hogan as soon as they found out about the remarks.
TNA has NOT pulled Hogan off of their Alumni page and they are still selling his merchandise on ShopTNA. They should fix that asap.
CM Punk did a 45 minute interview with Ariel Helwani where he talked about a lot of different things. He said he doesn’t watch WWE anymore now that his wife, AJ Lee, has left the company. He intimated that she left the company due to the uncomfortable nature of the lawsuit WWE Dr. Chris Amann filed against Punk and Colt Cabana. He said he wouldn’t keep her from going back to WWE if she wanted to. You can watch it by clicking here.
