Combat Zone Wrestling has launched their own streaming service, titled www.CZWStudios.com.

The Kickstarter for the documentary about Chyna's return to the United States was officially funded over the weekend.

Montreal-based IWS promotion made a few announcements this past weekend, including that they have launched an official partnership with AAA and Lucha Underground.  Talents from those groups will begin appearing at IWS events from September on.  They also announced a co-branded show with Combat Zone Wrestling on 10/17 featuring talents from each promotion facing each other.  They also announced Rey Mysterio Jr. would be working for them on 3/5/16 at the Montreal Metropolis, Rey Mysterio would be wrestling on the show.  IWS is the promotion that first launched Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens before they made their names on the United States indy scene.  Speedball Mike Bailey, who has been seen Stateside in CZW and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, is the current IWS champion.  Others working for the group currently are Dirty Buxx Belmar, 3.0, TDT, Sexxxy Eddy and former TNA Gutcheck winner and OVW talent Alex Silva.

Image Comics announced the release of a pro-wrestling themed comic book titled "Ringside" which would take a fictional, dramatic look at the pro wrestling world.  The plot for the initial stories: "a retired veteran forced to fight his greatest battle in the real world, a rookie struggling to get his first shot and a writer frustrated over lack of control."  That second storyline sounds very similar to the excellent "Headlocked" books that Michael Kingston has been publishing for several years now.  Thanks to James Russell and Taylor Millard.

A new promotion, Tier-1 Wrestling will debut this Friday 7/10 in Queens, NY at the RS Studio on Atlantic Avenue headlined by Tomasso Ciampa vs. Luke Hawx vs. Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Rude Boy Riley will headline in an Elimination bout to determine the promotion's first champion.  Also on the card are Milk Chocolate, Buxx Belmar, Gran Akuma, Icarus, Sam Shields and more.

On Point Wrestling in New Jersey announced Ian Rotten is coming in for their 8/29 event in Williamstown, NJ to officiate a Taipei Death Match, playing off the 20 year anniversary of the first one in ECW, featuring Rotten vs. Axl Rotten. Boy, does that anniversary make me feel really old.  Matt Tremont vs. Jeff Cannonball will face off in the Death Match.   Nick Gage vs. Scott Summers (coming in from Texas) as well as Joey Janela, Dru Blood and Devon Moore have been announced for the show, which will be held at the OTW Arena.  Speaking of Tremont, a new documentary on his career has just been released on DVD.
