MAIN EVENT TIME, GOOD LUCK FOLLOWING THAT MATCH, BALOR VS. OWENS: GET YOUR POPCORN READY, TIME TO ADMINISTER LAST RITES TO KOFI, BELLA VS. PAIGE VS. TAMINA, JERICHO VS. NEVILLE - FULL WWE BEAST IN THE EAST BLOG

OK, I will admit it, I didn’t get up early like Mike Johnson did.  Mad props to him for doing so.  Great job by Mike and Graham.

I have been pushing for WWE to put house shows on the Network since they started so I am very happy to see this event.  I hope that a lot of people tune in and WWE sees the worth in doing more specials like this one.

Michael Cole and Byron Saxton are your announcers.

This is a big show so it's time to get your Proper Popcorn.

The opening match is Chris Jericho vs. Neville.  Jericho has a long history in Japan and the crowd showed him a lot of respect when the match started.

Early on, it was all Jericho.  Even though he doesn’t work full time, he still can go when the bell rings. … Neville started making some comebacks but Jericho kept thwarting him.  Jericho went for the Walls but Neville got out of it and then started working over Jericho.  Neville went to the top rope and the fans popped, but Jericho took his legs out from under him, went up and tried for the SuperPlex.  Neville blocked it and dumped Jericho on the mat.  He went for the Red Arrow but Jericho moved.  Neville jumped into a the Walls near the middle of the ring but he managed to get the break at the ropes. … Neville dumped Jericho to the floor and did a flying body attack over the top rope.  Great spot.  The fans chanted This Is Awesome, too cool. … Neville put Jericho in the ring and hit a Springboard dropkick and a Standing Shooting Star Press for a two.  Neville went to work, chopping Jericho’s chest but then ran into a Y2J forearm.  Y2J hit a Lionsault but covered slowly, only getting a two count.  Jericho then started mouthing on Neville and then Neville jumped into a Code Breaker from the top rope.  Again. Jericho covered slowly and only got a two. … The fans started doing dueling chants for the guys.  Neville hit a German and a few kicks to the face and then went up for the Arrow.   Jericho got the knees up though and locked on The Lion Tamer, getting the win.

Excellent match to start the show.  I would have liked to have seen Neville win, to elevate him a bit, but they decided not to go that way.  I get though, Jericho means a lot in Japan.

They showed Brock Lesnar arriving at the building.  Damn, he is huge.  They noted that the Dusty Rhodes Tribute special will air on Monday on the Network after Raw.  I will be checking that out for sure.

Next up, Nikki Bella is defending her Divas Title against Paige and Tamina Snuka in a Triple Threat match. Brie is not with her.

The announcers were selling the “divide” in the Divas division.  This one has everyone involved at the same time, obviously.  … Paige and Nikki worked together to take out Tamina early. … This is more physical than your usual Divas match, which is needed in Japan (and I would argue the US too).  Nikki was setting Paige up on the top when Tamina came in and did a double powerbomb.  Tamina tried for pins on both women, but couldn’t get a three.  Nikki and Paige worked together to take Tamina out again, then went back to fighting each other. … Paige had Nikki in the PTO when Tamina came in and kicked her in the face.  She did a Samoan Drop and went up for the Superfly Splash but Nikki moved.  Tamina ran into a forearm by Nikki and was pinned.

The ending was kind of anticlimactic but overall the match was very good, far better than your standard Divas match.  I liked what I saw from Nikki here.  It bodes well for her when the NXT ladies come up to the main roster.

They aired their “Brock is an animal” promo.  He is a beast.  Obviously.  Out came Kofi Kingston for what will not be a pleasant night for him.  Brock is gonna kill you.  Brock came out to a huge pop.  He might just pop Kofi.

Kofi used his best offense at the start, he ran away.  It didn’t work.  Brock is a total monster.  He just threw Kofi around like a rag doll, as he should.  The crowd was enjoying it.  A lot.  Kofi probably wasn’t.  He ate a lot of Germans and got pinned with an F5.  It was exactly what it should have been, total destruction.  They sold that Brock is coming for Seth Rollins in two weeks.

Brock was about to leave when he looked back at Kofi and got that Brock smile on his face.  The fans wanted another German, and they got it.  They chanted one more time so he gave them an F5.  Xavier Woods and Big E ran in.  He trashed them as well.  F5s for everyone.  The way Brock got E up, like he weighed ten pounds, was kind of scary (in a good way).

Kevin Owens vs. Finn Balor for the NXT Title is next.

Before the match, they played up what a star Balor was in Japan.  I am psyched, this should be great.

Owens then said there is no chance that Balor winning the Title in Japan would be a great fairy tale, but it’s not going to happen.  Balor talked about how Owens has beaten Sami Zayn, John Cena and even Finn Balor, so tonight he has to bring out his inner demon.  Owens said that his alter ego is cool and his son loves it, but some paint isn’t going to let him beat Owens for his Title.

Finn brought out the demon and did his awesome entrance.  You really need to see it to believe it.  It’s awesome.  Owens is out next.  This should be great.
