ROSS ON JARRETT & TNA, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SHEIK BIO?, NEW DAY AND MORE NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2015-06-25 15:25:22
As Dave Scherer mentioned yesterday, the planned autobiography of the Iron Sheik has been canceled by WWE and ECW Press. The book was the first of their planned collaborative efforts. For those who asked why the book was, for the second time now, canceled, my speculation is that the Sheik book, much as it was canceled the first time WWE planned it and shelved it (after it was written no less), is a victim of the more racy nature of Sheik's life and antics and that WWE, in it's current form as a PG entity, likely doesn't want something like that attached to their logo.

No update yet on Erick Rowan's arm injury.

Yahoo.com featured a piece on New Day sending a shout out to a 92 year old WWE fan at this link. The fan had tickets to Smackdown's taping but was too ill to go so New Day taped a special message for her. That is pretty awesome. Thanks to Christopher Pierce for sending this along.

Jim Ross has a really good new blog looking at the latest developments in TNA and GFW and more at this link. Ross noted that his one man show in NYC over Summerslam weekend has only 40 VIP tickets left. He also has a show on 8/19 in Washington, DC. I'll FINALLY get to see the show at the Mid-Atlantic Legends weekend next month in Charlotte and I can't wait. For more, visit www.JRsBarBQ.com. I just stocked up on some of JR's BBQ for this summer - so should you.

The annual New England Hall of Fame and Fanfest will be this Saturday. There are a TON of names scheduled and all I ever hear is great things about the event. I'm really going to try and make it up to Rhode Island next year for it. For complete details, visit www.newenglandfanfest.com.
