6/14 QUEENS OF COMBAT RESULTS FROM NORTH CAROLINA

By Chris Dickinson on 2015-06-15 08:30:05

I attended Day 2 of the Queens of Combat inaugural title tournament, and this show was the promotion’s strongest effort to date.  Every match was great, and all of the women delivered very strong performances.  All wrestling fans should go out of their way to see these shows, either live or on DVD (available at www.highspots.com and www.combatqueens.com).

In the opening match, Crazy Mary Dobson, Hania, and Leva Bates wrestled in a “second chance” match to determine Jessicka Havok’s opponent in the second round of the tournament (later on the card).  The match began with Mary and Hania teaming against Leva (portraying a radish farmer and Saiyan).  All three ladies looked strong in this match, but in the end, Crazy Mary took the victory.

In the second match, Santana Garrett took on Su Yung in a second-round match.  Santana was able to avoid Su Yung’s questionable tactics and win the match.  Strong match by Santana.

The third match was a six-woman tag match that saw Chasity Taylor, Solo Darling, and Amy Love take on Hardcore Heather Owens, Roni Nicole, and Miss Diss Lexia (represented by Handsome Boy Modeling’s Zane Riley).  After much cheating by Owens, Nicole, and MDL, Chasity, Solo, and Amy took the victory.

In the fourth match, Mandy Leon and Jenny Rose put on a very technical and competitive match, with Mandy taking the victory.

In the fifth match, Taeler Hendrix took on Amanda Rodriguez in a second-round match.  Amanda looked good here, but Taeler dominated the match for the most part (including taunting Caleb Konley at ringside throughout the match) en route to a victory.

Prior to the sixth match (also a second-round match), Tessa Blanchard cut a promo saying that she has accomplished more in her one-year career (she debuted in Queens of Combat a year ago) than the women in the QoC locker room had in five to ten years.  This brought out her opponent, LuFisto for their second-round match.  This was a very, very physical match in which LuFisto promised to teach her opponent a lesson. Tessa got the win after hitting LuFisto with a chain and getting the pin with both feet on the ropes.

The final match saw Jessicka Havok take on Crazy Mary Dobson in a very physical and competitive match, won by Jessicka.  The tournament is set to conclude in November.
