6/13 NXT RESULTS FROM COLUMBUS, OH

By TJ Parsons on 2015-06-14 08:45:45

NXT returned to the LC Pavilion for another sold out show tonight. Here are the results.

The show started with a 10 bell salute for Dusty Rhodes.

*Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy w/ Carmella def. The Vaudevillains-- Fun match with a lot of comedy spots. At one point, Enzo and Aiden English decided they were going to have a boxing match. Both of their partners hopped down and brought out a bucket, towels and chairs to set up in each corner. The boxing match ended with a one-punch knockout from English. The wrestling match resumed after Enzo beat the 10 count. After the match, all four men hugged and payed tribute to Dusty.

*Bull Dempsey def. Jason Jordan-- Bull was the babyface here, and continued his "out of shape" gimmick, which led to chants such as "Bull loves Kit Kats," to which Bull shook his head in agreement. Bull wins with a top rope bonzai drop variation.

*Blake and Murphy w/ Alexa Bliss def. The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley)-- The crowd really hated on Mojo the whole match. Murphy gets the win by rolling up Ryder and holding

*Sasha Banks def. Charlotte to retain the NXT Women's Championship-- Really hard hitting match. Lots of great work as always from these two. Crowd gave a standing ovation afterwords. Sasha wins with the Bank Statement.

*Bayley and Carmella def. Dana Brooke and Emma-- Biggest pop of the night outside of the main event was easily for Bayley. She's so over and could easily be the biggest babyface draw for the women's division in years. Carmella got the win with her submission.

*Tyler Breeze def. Baron Corbin-- Crowd loved Tyler and was all over Corbin with "Corbin Sucks" chants. Tyler wins with the Beauty Shot.

*Kevin Owens def. Finn Balor and Samoa Joe in a triple threat match to retain the NXT Championship-- The crowd went nuts for this. The match was great and the crowd was hot the entire match. Lots of fun spots and false finishes. Kevin wins by hitting the Pop-Up Powerbomb Samoa Joe. After the match, Joe and Finn go face to face and "Too Sweet" to end the show.

Overall, a fun house show for the NXT brand. No appearance from Triple H, Ric Flair, Rhyno, Crowe, or Becky Lynch, which was a bit of a let down. Unlike last time, this show was clearly not taped for an episode of NXT. It's interesting to note that the three shows over this weekend have been virtually identical, which is an issue that Mike Johnson has discussed quite a few times.

I'll be back in Columbus tomorrow for Money in the Bank and will have another live report.
