WHY TYRUS WAS PULLED FROM GLOBAL FORCE WRESTLING

By Mike Johnson on 2015-06-03 09:20:43
As Dave Scherer noted earlier this morning, Tyrus (the former Brodus Clay) was pulled from the forthcoming Global Force Wrestling events later this month after having been advertised for several weeks after being informed by TNA he was not allowed to do the dates.

GFW is operated by TNA minority owner Jeff Jarrett, who publicly split from the company several years back. Obviously, there is some bad blood remaining there.

According to a TNA source, Tyrus could not make the dates as TNA contracts prevent their talents from working for companies with TV deals. The mindset within TNA is that since GFW announced they would be taping TV, that put the promotion out of bounds when it came to using TNA talent.

Ring of Honor is in a similar situation with Moose but is allowing him to work the GFW house shows, but not the TV tapings.

Tyrus, who was being billed by GFW under his real name George T. Murdoch, was not scheduled for the GFW TV tapings.
