TNA IMPACT MOVING FROM FRIDAYS? & MORE TNA NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2015-05-15 11:23:36
The 5/22 three hour broadcast of Impact Wrestling, according to the TNA website, will be a broadcast of the 2014 TNA Slammiversary PPV. The special is airing due to the Memorial Day weekend due to the belief that viewership will be down due to the holiday.

There's also been concern about how viewership on Destination America will hold up on Fridays as we head into the summer. There was talk within the last week in Nashville about Impact Wrestling moving to Wednesday nights at 9 PM (possibly as soon as June), but we haven't confirmed 100% that plan is going into execution. A move off Fridays, not just for the summer but in general, is probably the best thing TNA could get in my opinion.

The next set of Impact Wrestling tapings will be 6/26 through 7/1 at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. The 6/26 date was initially planned as a live broadcast, but there's no reference to that on the TNA website.
