WHY WWE DOESN'T RUSH TO BRING TNA TALENTS IN, OWEN PILEDRIVING SEVERN AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2015-05-07 10:00:00
I know it's beating a dead horse but isn't Mike saying that WWE ruined Punk's wedding day a bit dramatic? Almost as dramatic as CM Punk's retelling of the events were and not subjective like a new source should be? The guy knew he was done with WWE and they were done with him at this point? Why does it matter which day a piece or paper arrives when both parties knew their relationship was over?

If Vince McMahon is publicly apologizing, obviously it mattered.

Why is TNA seemingly such a stain on wrestlers that want to go to WWE? It seems ROH and the indies are much surer routes to a WWE contract.

That's not really the case. Ask Xavier Woods, who was in TNA. I think what happens is you have talents who were making good salaries in TNA who have been exposed on national TV and for WWE to bring them in, they now have to hire talents who aren't as young as WWE prefers (so WWE won't get as much time out of them as they'd like), who expect to be paid at least what they were getting in TNA and who also need to be re-tooled and promoted by WWE. The company would rather take someone younger and mold them in their own imagine instead of having to work harder with less time to maximize what they can get out of the wrestler.

I just watched a WWF Raw where Owen Hart gave a inverted piledriver to Dan Severn. The same move he broke Steve Austin's neck with. Raw claimed Severn received a severely damaged neck. Was that storyline or was he legit injured? And was there any heat on Owen for using the same move he already broke Austin's neck with?

The Severn piledriver and injury were all storyline to get Hart heat.

How does it make any sense to win your first WWE Title with your finishing move, then drop that move three weeks later? The Curb Stomp was over. It was different. Fans reacted strongly to it. The DDT, even with a twist, hasn't been a truly effective finisher since Jake Roberts' heyday in the late 80s. Senseless decision.

It makes sense when your boss tells you he wants a change. I don't think you've seen the last of the curb stomp.

From reading the reports on your site about in regards to the European House Shows, it seems Neville was pulled from the tour. He started on the same loop as Sheamus, Ziggler, Balor and Reigns, but has not been mentioned as competing on either tour after the first couple of reports. Is there any reason you've heard in regards to why he was pulled?

He was never pulled.

OK. you have 1 wolf and 1 Hardy out with injuries for an unspecified amount of time. Do you put the title on the 2 healthy members of these teams and fight off all other contenders until both teams are healthy again and then tease dissension between the original team members?

It could be that's what you do, or have the two teams face off to determine the champs after everyone is back.
