WWE NXT REPORT: CAN RILEY'S RAGE GET HIM OUT OF THAT CAGE?, MATCHES FOR TAKEOVER ANNOUNCED, TAG CHAMPS IN ACTION, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2015-04-29 20:43:38
We begin with a look back at the match between Alex Riley and Kevin Owens from last week. Then we see what Sami Zayn did after the match.

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Rich Brennan, Byron Saxton, and Corey Graves.

The NXT Champion Kevin Owens makes his way to the ring.

Kevin looks at the title belt before talking. Kevin takes his time to let the crowd get their chants in before speaking. Kevin says the Ole chants are cute considering the last time you saw him, he was about to take care of a problem he has had for quite a while. He was about to power bomb Alex Riley on that apron and get rid of him for good.

Then little old Sami Zayn had to play hero. Sami, I’m standing right here and it isn’t going to be a sneak attack. His fists are taped for a fight, so come out right now and do this.

William Regal’s music plays and he comes to the stage and he makes his way into the ring.

Regal tells Kevin you will not use NXT to further your own agenda. Your role here does not entail you making demands when you seem fit.

Kevin tells William he did not remember calling him out here so he does not care what he has to say. Kevin reminds William he said ‘with all due respect’. He wants Sami Zayn and Kevin points out correctly that William Regal is not Sami Zayn.

Sami’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring but he is not in a dancing mood.

Regal tells Sami this will not turn into a circus like last week.

Sami waits on the ring steps while Owens wants him to come into the ring.

Regal says this seems to be the easiest thing he has done in weeks. Kevin wants to fight Sami and Sami wants to fight Kevin. On May 20th, on the WWE Network at NXT Takeover, Kevin Owens will face Sami Zayn for the NXT Championship.

Kevin tells William he will fight him, but he never said anything about putting the title on the line. What has Sami done to earn a title shot? Was it the cowardly sneak attack that earned him the title shot since he left for a month after losing the title. He will fight Sami at Takeover, but he will not put the title on the line.

Sami tells William it looks like Kevin really wants this match. Sami says it looks like Kevin needs this match. You need this match and it has nothing to do with what happened last week. It has to do with what happened over the last twelve years. Everything you have done has had Sami’s name next to it. Even as NXT champion, you have the Kevin Owens show, but they are talking about what Kevin did to Sami Zayn. Everything you have ever done and will ever do will have an asterisk with Sami’s name attached to it. It looks like Kevin has been living in Sami Zayn’s shadow.

Sami will give Kevin the chance to get out of his shadow. Sami says that he fights for a prize and you are not the prize. That NXT Championship is the prize. What do you want to do about it?

Kevin tells Sami if that is what you want, you got it. He wants to know if Sami is happy now, but he won’t be happy any more. The first time was nothing and you have no idea what will come the next time.

William Regal makes it official for May 20th.

Sami tells Alex if he wants to face someone, he will wrestle him because he needs to get ready for Kevin.

Alex accepts the match and he says that if Sami doesn’t make it to Takeover, he gets Owens.

Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady, and Carmella come to the ring and they do their usual entrance.
