POTATOES, ADDING A WWE TV TITLE, ROLLINS' NEW FINISHER AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2015-04-23 10:00:00
Considering Seth Rollins (to my knowledge anyway) never hurt anyone from using the Curb Stomp how come WWE made him change finisher?

As we reported here on the site, it was simple a decision made to give Rollins a different finisher that he could use on anyone at anytime. That doesn't mean you've seen the last of the curb stomp.

I have two questions about Wade Barrett. 1 I heard that during European tour at house show in England Wade said that he still has issues with his shoulder after his recent injury and because of it he is going to retire as an active wrestler after the end of his current contract with WWE. Is it true? 2 Is WWE trying to bury Barrett? Since his return after an injury, he loses to everybody and it doesn't make him look strong, WWE doesn't protect him. In my opinion he has it all to be a top guy and a main eventer: a look, size, charisma, wrestling skills, he is good on a microphone. I hope to see him WWE champion in the future

I've heard nothing that leads me to believe at what Barrett allegedly said actually happened, so I'd say it isn't true. As far as why Barrett is in the position he is in, it's all Vince McMahon. Everything flows through him.

What would you think of, after building up the IC and US titles, they bring in a television title with the 24/7, falls count anywhere rule? I personally think it would bring in a bit more excitement to Raw/Smackdown.

I think WWE should actually be keeping things as they are, or eliminating belts. I don't think adding another championship will help anything. It will be one more entity fighting for TV time with all the other belts and even with all the TV hours WWE fills, they already don't give everyone and everything enough attention.

I've noticed that WWE isn't releasing all of their titles as Blu-Rays anymore. Any insight into why?

Like everything else in business, it's all supply and demand. The Blu-Rays weren't always moving in the numbers that WWE needed to commit to continue to releasing them for every DVD. So, they have curtailed the Blu-Ray releases.

I've heard the term potato used for pro wrestling - what does it mean?

When one wrestler "potatoes" another, it means they accidentally (or perhaps not so accidentally) nailed the other legitimately hard.
