FORMER ROH CHAMPION ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

Pro Wrestling NOAH announced on their website this evening that former ROH champion Takeshi Morishima has opted to retire after getting back some medical results from doctors.

Morishima had been dealing with some recurring injuries in recent years, specifically with his knee, shoulder and elbow.

In the United States, Morishima shocked ROH fans by beating Homicide for the ROH title shortly after Homicide captured the title after a long storyline chase. Morishima held the belt for a long time, including a feud with the current Daniel Bryan, before dropping the belt to the Nigel McGuinness.
