WOULD VINCE CEDE CREATIVE TO HHH, HULK HOGAN GETTING ANOTHER TITLE SHOT, THE EASY WAY WWE COULD HAVE MONETIZED WCW AND MORE

You ever think Vince will turn over the creative control of Raw and Smackdown to Triple H while Vince is still kicking if NXT becomes its own touring brand?

Unless he becomes incapacitated, I don’t see that happening. Creative is the core of WWE and Vince wants to control it.

What do you think about WWE dropping the first name on some of the wrestlers like Rusev, Cesaro, Neville. They didn't drop the first name from Wyatt, Reigns, Rollins, or Ambrose.  So I just wonder why they would do so.  Me personally I kind of like a first and last name.

There is no real rhyme or reason that I can tell as to why they do it. I have no problem with it in certain cases. It adds to Rusev’s character in my opinion. But yes, I am with you, guys should have first and last names. It just makes sense.

After watching the Triple H vs Sting match at WrestleMania, it got me thinking how interesting it was to bringing NWO and DX out. It made sense due to the WWE vs WCW war (considering they show the footage on the network). I was thinking wouldn't it be great to have The Authority take over NXT and have a build to a match with Triple H vs Kevin Owens at Wrestlemania 32 with Triple H putting over Kevin Owens? Giving Kevin Owens a huge push.

It would be great for Owens to get a win over HHH and all, but I don’t really see your storyline coming into play. It just seems too farfetched to me.

With Hulk Hogan wanting either a title match or a retirement match at WrestleMania 32, who in their right mind would even consider given Hogan a title match? Also with the current line of thinking leaning toward an Undertaker/Sting retirement match in Texas, do you see Hogan getting his way in either direction as two retirement matches in one WrestleMania might be overkill and who would want to see Hogan in a title match as, no offense to the man’s legacy, we all know he is just not capable of putting on a great World Title caliber match no matter who is holding the title come Wrestlemania?  Know he most likely won't settle for anything less than a World Title match.

1. I don’t see Hogan ever getting a WWE Title match. Period. That would be crazy. Jerry Lawler is around Hogan’s age and had a heart attack shortly after working a match at Raw. I don’t see WWE doing it. So if Hogan wants a match, he will have to take what he is given (and it should be a multi-man match so he doesn’t have to do much heavy lifting.

2. Taker vs. Sting is not even on the board right now.

Dave, on 4/7 you answered a question about Vince humiliating WCW. In your response, you said Vince should have built up WCW. You’ve said this before, many times. My question is, how can you expect Vince to build up WCW? About a year ago, you answered a question about why there was never a WCW reunion show. If a reunion show wouldn’t fly, how could a full-fledged company expect to be a success? A few years ago, if memory serves correct, you answered a question to the effect of “WCW fans wouldn’t want Vince producing ‘their’ show”. Right. If you’ll recall, we rejected Vince back in 1984, and we would have done the same in 2001 or any other time.  I grew up in an NWA hotbed (East Tennessee between Knoxville and Johnson City), and having interacted with other former members of the WCW Universe, it’s clear that not too many fans miss WCW. I sure don’t, after the joke it became. Also, after WCW closed, the ratings for Raw went down.  You’ve said similar things about Jim Crockett building up the UWF. How? Both promotions were sinking.  Moreover, the WWE Universe is loyal to WWE and WWE only. Look at the relaunch of ECW and how that turned out.  WCW is dead. Let it rest in peace.

Comments like this make me sigh. How do you build up WCW when it’s owned by WWE? Easy, sign the top guys that were left and book them to be strong against WWE talent. Have WCW guys beat WWE guys, and vice versa. Make it so that both brands are strong, and then you can market them independently, with inter-promotional matches at the big shows like WrestleMania and SummerSlam. You would have watched if they booked WCW they way you liked it before it went downhill. I am sure there are some fans that would “never support Vince no matter what” but most people aren’t that bullheaded. They wouldn’t cut their nose off to spite their face.
