Pre-Game Show:
The first match of the pre-game show was the Fatal Four Way with Cesaro and Tyson Kidd defending their Tag Titles against The New Day (Kofi and Big E and they are NOT wearing blue), The Usos and Los Matdores.
Your announcers are JBL, Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole.
It is a beautiful, sunny day and 70 degrees. People are still filing in. ... They did an angle early where Cesaro took out Jey Uso by throwing him into the barricade. They sold Jey's shoulder injury. The trainers took him away so Jimmy is going it on his own.
The story early on was that Jimmy was doing a good job fighting on his own. It was no stop action. Cesaro hit a huge suplex on Big E. The Matadores has Kofi pinned when Kidd broke it up. Kidd used Natty as a distraction. Hornswoggle nailed Kofi, who had to sell a flying headscissors. Boo. Natty put the Sharpshooter on Torito, big pop from the crowd. Naomi and Jimmy splashed everyone on the ground and Naomi hit the Big Butt on Natty. ... Big E did some cool strength spots. Cesaro did too. It was hard to keep up. Six of them combined to do a crazy spot out of the corner. With Big E out, Jimmy came in for the pin but Cesaro made the tag, tossed him and scored it instead to help his team retain the tag titles. ... It was a fun, car wreck kind of match.
After they showed Jon Gruden's piece handicapping the participants we came back to all of the Andre The a Giant Battle Royal participants standing in the ring. Curtis Axel ripped of his shirt and did Axelmania and then everyone banded together to toss him.
Early on, Miz and Mizdow worked together to toss Alex Riley, hoping setting up the turn later the crowd was definitely behind Mizdow. I won't cover all the eliminations since Rich is. I will just get into interesting stuff.
Big Show ended Itami with a Knockout punch and the crowd booed.
Mark Henry was eliminated way too early.
Ryback eliminated both members of The Ascension, and then dusted a Heath Slater. Then Titus O'Neil.
New Day went to get rid of Big Show while the big fella was on the apron but he got rid of them instead. We are down to about 10 guys and the fans are loudly chanting, "Let's Go Mizdow".
Big Show dusted Eric Rowan and was working on Goldust when Ryback laid him down and then tossed Dust. Ryback went to work on Show but Kane made the save. Cesaro then eliminated Kane ms how tossed Jimmy Uso and we are down to five.
Cesaro went after Show and the fans were behind him. Cesaro went to slam Show but could not. Show dusted him. Ryback then went after Show and the fans were into it. But Show tossed him instead.
We are down to Show, Miz and Mizdow. Cows was going nuts for Dow. Miz planned strategy with Dow and finally Mizdow said no. Miz went back and pleaded with Mizdow again to do it for US. Don't listen to the fans. Mizdow said no. Miz went nuts on Dow. He started poking Dow in the chest and Dow finally said he quits and tossed Miz. Miz came back at him and Dow punched him when he did.
Now it's Mizdow vs. Show, who watched all of that go down. Do the right thing here WWE. They face off. Show said come on. He did. Show tossed him and Dow skinned the cat. Dow went to work but ran into a shoulder block. The crowd booed loudly. Show charged but Dow ducked but Show got caught on the rope. Show got on the apron but then ran into a choke slam. As he went up, he locked on a choke. show dropped Dow on the apron but Dow held on. Show then powered up and dumped Dow to win. And the crowd booed.
I get why the put Show over. He is in the pre-show and all. But they had white lightning right there if the pulled the trigger and had Dow win. At least they finally had him break away from Miz.
Show mugged with the trophy and stuck the Andre pose after the match.
After the Battle Royal they started setting up for the IC Title ladder match, which will open the show. They had Pat Patterson in the ring with the IC Title and Cole referenced the fictitious tournament in Brazil.
Aloe Blacc did a good job with America The Beautiful. Now it's the LL Cool J open.
