THE ROCK SMACKS DOWN SNL, BARRETT TALKS 'STEALING SHOW' AT WRESTLEMANIA, WHEN PUNK TWEETED ITAMI AND MORE NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2015-03-29 13:17:10

Before I go any further, I feel like I've met 500 people over the last several days, many of them Elite subscribers and I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who took time out of their Wrestlemania weekend to stop me, speak to me or have something nice to say about what we do here at PWInsider.com.  I (and everyone here) are beyond appreciative of all the support always, but if I ever needed a reminder about how blessed I am that I get to do this for a living, it was this weekend, and I want to thank all of you for that.

While Kevin Nash was awesome last night at the WWE Hall of Fame, I don't know that Wrestlecon would agree as Nash canceled his scheduled signing yesterday afternoon that morning.

I echo everything Dave and Eps said on their audio about the WWE Hall of Fame last night. It was awesome. An edited down, one hour version will air on the USA Network tomorrow following Raw.

The Rock hosted SNL for the fourth time last night and I was told he was pretty great.  One of the sketches saw him send up WWE promos.  I really enjoyed the hell out of this, which you can watch below:

CM Punk and Hideo Itami had a pretty funny exchange on Twitter last night:

The National in U.A.E interviewed WWE Intercontinental champion Bad News Barrett about his IC Ladder match potentially stealing the show at Wrestlemania later today.  Barrett commented, “I’m really excited about it. There are two schools of thought when it comes to trying to steal the show. I know Dolph Zigger and Daniel Bryan have been very vocal about how they want to steal the show and put on the best match, but for me that is a losers mentality. I am all about the result. I will give you the most boring match in history if it means that I win the match. I just want to retain my title.”  You can check out the interview at this link.

Paul Jordan sent the following:

This past Friday, the "True Story Of Wrestlemania" documentary was added to the Beyond the Ring section. This Monday following Raw, WWE Network will add last year's "The Randy Savage Story" documentary.  Coming this Friday, the "Best of Saturday Nights Main Event" compilation will be added to the Beyond the Ring section.

Tuesday, the 2011 season of "Tough Enough" will make his debut on the Network.
