THOUGHTS AND MORE NEWS ON BROCK LESNAR’S DECISION, UPDATE ON KEVIN NASH’S HALL OF FAME INDUCTOR, LOTS OF WWE ON ESPN, A FORMER WWE GUY SAYS HE WOULD RETURN ON A PART TIME DEAL, HHH ON PREPARING FOR STING AND MORE

By Dave Scherer on 2015-03-24 19:13:10

After Brock Lesnar left the screen on today’s ESPN interview where he announced he was staying with WWE, Jonathan Coachman said he completely understood Brock’s decision and added that he would love to be able to work part time for WWE too, in addition to what he is doing for ESPN now.

I have to say, I think Brock made the right call to stay with WWE. I have been saying for a while now on audio that WWE was his best course to take. He is older now than when he competed before, and he has been through health problems. He will be 38 years old this year and MMA is not a business where guys usually get better as they get older. If he were to go into UFC and get knocked out, it would hurt his WWE value. Conversely, he is WWE’s top or second from the top guy right now. He is in his pro wrestling prime and he got to keep his great schedule. To me, it was a no-brainer to stay in the wrestling business. I know he made the right choice and as a fan, I am happy he did. I love watching him work.

His new deal is for more than a year too. Triple H tweeted the following: “@BrockLesnar is a global attraction. Happy to have him re-sign a multi-year contract with @WWE. @espn @MichelleDBeadle”

Speaking of ESPN, WWE.com has video of Hulk Hogan appearing with Michelle Beadle to hype WrestleMania 31. You can watch it by clicking here.

ESPN also has a done a piece where Monday Night Football analyst and Super Bowl winning coach John Gruden did a breakdown piece on The Andre The Giant Battle Royal. He does similar pieces on quarterbacks before they turn pro. You can watch it by clicking here.

USA Today did a great interview with Triple H where he talked about his preparation and training for his match with Sting. You can watch it by clicking here.

WWE.com interviewed Snoop Dog and Hogan about Snoop’s appearance on Raw last night. You can watch it by clicking here.

After tweeting that he was inducting Kevin Nash into the WWE Hall Of Fame this weekend, it appears Mick Foley was kidding around. He replied to a bunch of tweets and then wrote this: “Guess I'll work on my @KevinNash #WWEHOF induction speech. I haven't officially been asked - but, at this point, it's just a formality.”

The following was released today.
