Regarding this Dr. Amann/CM Punk situation, it looks to me that the WWE should be treading very carefully here and not going at Punk both guns blazing. Punk brought up several issues some of which are on film and broadcast (the toilet incident due to the antibiotics) beyond the Staph infection showing a pattern of behaviour. The lump is clearly visibly and of a comparable size to a baseball (in diameter) in the footage you posted from the Royal Rumble, Punk has shown the scar and (presumably) has the medical records from treatment of the infection. Given his claims that Amann dismissed the infection as a fatty lump it would seem perfectly reasonable for no one to have made any record of it in the WWE for them to find in an internal investigation, and given the culture of fear in the WWE (McMahon may now regret what he said in the Austin podcast now) would anyone own up to it? I think they’ll have a hard time showing (on the balance of odds) that their employee wasn’t negligent because all of the factual evidence lines up with Punk’s claims and the stuff that can’t be proven sounds reasonable. Amann is therefore claiming that Punk failed to report something he felt was serious to him, then walked out and reported it to another doctor who diagnosed it, despite thinking it wasn’t important enough to raise with the free medical care he had in the WWE. Doesn’t sound feasible does it? This sounds like it will blow up in their (and Amann’s) face if it reaches the courts. What do you think?

Mike Epsenhart and I covered this in-depth on yesterday’s show in the Elite section. It is impossible to break down what we said in 45 minutes to a Q and A answer. What I will say, as I said there, is this. Until we know all of the facts, the real, unquestioned facts, I am not going to offer an opinion because it would not be an informed one. Amann has high powered lawyers, so it tells me that there is least some merit to their position (and by that I mean a position that can be properly argued in a court).

I'd imagine most people think Daniel Bryan is going to lose against Reigns on Sunday and I would consider myself in that group. If Reigns wins, in my opinion, the match needs to be 25-30 minutes at least, Reigns needs to display a diverse move set, both guys need to take a lot of punishment and Bryan needs to be pinned after two consecutive spears or something really big to make the WWE universe satisfied that Bryan look strong and for Reigns to get over with the WWE Universe. Your thoughts?

I said all of that on my Tuesday hotline. I would also like to see Bryan endorse Reigns after the match as well. If they book it well, and Reigns steps his work up to the next level tonight, it could work, and even work well.

With all this going on, I can only fear what will happen to AJ Lee, yes, this could all be false, misleading stories from either side, but lets face it.  How do you see it playing out for someone with his last name?

If I am either side, with the lawsuit ongoing there is no way I would go back to work if I were her, or bring her back if I were making the decisions in WWE. There is too much ill will and legalities in play right now.

Looking at how Kevin Owens is portrayed in NXT as a bad ass tough heel, should TNA have portrayed Joe in this exact manner?  If Joe does make it to NXT/WWE, given his body type and increased weight (as has been pointed out on this site), would he be better off wearing a shirt or tank top to wrestle, similar to Owens?

It would have been a lot better than how they actually booked him. The T-shirt would have helped too, since it would have hid Joe’s build. Unless Joe gets into better aesthetic shape, I can’t see WWE letting him on the main roster TV without one.

Do you think that now would be the best time for WWE to sign Joe? Joe is one of few talents that really doesn't need time in NXT, or if so a short run before the main roster. He could probably rival against Cena upon debuting and time has shown that friends behind the scenes make the best matches. Cena probably won't have a problem with putting him over and if he won the US title, a back and forth feud could really add some legitimacy back to the once great belt. What's your opinion on this?

There is no way I see Vince McMahon bring in a mid card guy from TNA and putting him over John Cena. Keep in mind, Joe was a free agent a few years back and WWE didn’t make him an offer that he would accept then. TNA’s booking really hurt Joe. He doesn’t need to go to NXT to learn to work, but more to stay out of sight and gain momentum again. Plus, he could be an in-ring teacher for the young talent. If they could come to a deal financially, that would probably be the best immediate spot for Joe.
