PUNK UPDATE, FLAIR & STEAMBOAT REUNION, CABANA PODCAST UPDATE, DREAMER-FOLEY, CHIKARA AND MORE NEWS

For those who have asked about an alleged WWE Instagram post teasing CM Punk would be on Raw tonight, WWE sources indicate it's just a photoshopped thing that is being passed around on social media and not something WWE posted and deleted, as the story online claims.

On his latest podcast, Colt Cabana has a great interview with former TNA star Cody Deaner. I'm not sure if this is a widespread thing or not, but since Cabana moved his podcast to a new server (post the CM Punk madness), I had to delete and resubscribe to his podcast on iTunes in order to get the subscription feed to work again, so if you aren't seeing new episodes pop up, you should do that as well at this link. I also really enjoyed a recent episode with Bill Goldberg. Cabana, by the way, is wrestling Jushin Liger for the first time this Saturday 2/21 in Rahway, NJ for Pro Wrestling Syndicate.

Steve Perkins' Big Time Wrestling are bringing a Ric Flair/Ricky Steamboat reunion (signing and photos before the show) to their 2/20 event this Friday at the Vance Middle School in Bristol, TN with Kevin Nash, Jimmy Valiant, Bunkhouse Buck, The Rock N’ Roll Express, BTW champion Flex Armstrong and more. The same crew will appear on 2/21 in Bluefield, WV. For more, visit Big-Time-Wrestling.com.

Our friends at www.KayfabeCommentaries.com will release their second DVD in the "Back to the Territories" series with Jim Cornette and James J. Dillon discussing the old Mid-Atlantic territory. tomorrow. The first volume with Hacksaw Jim Duggan talking Mid-South was beyond awesome, so I am really looking forward to this one.

Tommy Dreamer will challenge House of Glory champion Brian XL at the HOG return to the New York Arena in Jamaica, Queens. Originally Ricochet was scheduled to challenge XL in a rematch from his title loss, but he's unable to make the show, I believe, due to Lucha Underground obligations. Mick Foley will be appearing at the event as an outside the ring enforcer for the title bout.

CHIKARA announced a 3/7 return to Gibsonville, NC at the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium featuring The Devastation Corporation (Max Smashmaster & Blaster McMassive) defend los Campeonatos de Parejas against The Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian) and more. The show will be titled "Out on A Limb." Tickets can be ordered now at CHIKARAPro.com.

Speaking of CHIKARA, Mike Quackenbush also recently announced the company would be doing what pretty much amounts to their spin on the old AWA Team Challenge Series titled "The Challenge of the Immortals" with ten teams competing. Where is Jake Milliman when we need him? A nation turns it's lonely eyes to you, Milkman! The official announcement is below:
