Chris Jericho Highlight Reel. He talks about how great it is to live in Tampa and how bad it is that The Authority is back in charge of things. Cesaro interrupts. Exchange of words. Exchange of blows. A match is booked on the spot.
*Chris Jericho defeated Cesaro.
*Daniel Bryan & Randy Orton defeated Kane and Bray Wyatt when Bryan pinned Kane.
Divas: Natalya & Emma & Paige defeated Summer Rae & Sasha & Alicia Fox when Paige pinned Alicia.
*WWE Tag Team champions The Usos defeated Miz & Mizdow. Lots of mic work to start. Miz does the Rick Rude promo word for work and orders Damian to remove his robe. Damian hesitates and Miz is mad and the Usos' music plays to break that scenario up. Usos do comedy on mic. Miz orders Damian to sit on a folding chair in the corner. Good match with comedy and dives. Not sure which Uso pinned The Miz though.
Tampa Street Fight: Roman Reigns defeated The Big Show. What you'd expect. Spear through the table against the turnbuckle spot. Chokeslams and Superman punches. Second table is set up in corner for the finish but they botched it. Big Show landed short of the center of the table and only broke off a tiny corner leaving the rest of the table upright and intact which looked bad. But they ended it anyway.
Notes:
*Crowd was 8,000.
*It was the first house show at Amalie Arena(formerly Times Forum) in at least 10 years. All others shows at this arena have been either PPV's, RAW, or Smackdown. So there were a lot of kids for the rare WWE Saturday event in Tampa.
*Kids around me all thought Cena would be there. Why? Because John Cena was announced during on-sale and for the first month of tickets being available. Then WWE pulled Cena from the website. I understand lineups change all the time, often based on injuries and storyline, but advertised names usually appear in some form. When it's the biggest name, I think they should offer a refund. Part of me thinks they knew Cena would be oversees but advertised him for on-sale for better sales. Part of me thinks they had a change of heart and felt his star power was needed oversees because oversees tours are important. But I felt bad for all the families who thought he'd be here.
The ring announcing was done by Eden and a young guy from NXT who I apologize for being unfamiliar with.
