IS WWE RUNNING OUT OF HALL OF FAME HEADLINERS?, BULLET CLUB OVERRATED? AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2015-02-12 10:00:00

What are the requirements for a wrestler to be eligible for the WWE Hall of the Fame?

WWE deems them eligible and Vince McMahon signs off. That's pretty much it! The company does send out ballots internally asking for suggestions but it comes down to creative and Vince.

I got my first exposure to The Bullet Club at Wrestle Kingdom 9 and personally, I don't see the hype. The basis of the group is a blatant rip off of the NWO. Karl Anderson's constant "Too Sweet" and The Young Bucks only know one line, and that's "Suck It". No originality at all and they come across as wannabes. Not even in the heel sense do they come across as villians or even cool heels. They just come across as copycats who are rehashing the past, but not even in a better way. How do you feel about them?

A lot of the mannerisms and catch phrases are in tribute to great heels of the past and they are for a generation that might not have experienced them - remember the NWO is almost 20 years ago. I personally enjoy the group as they are all great wrestlers and work hard and are real heels in both a cocky sense and in the sense of being a great stable.

Just read the HOH 8 lineup and see that the Young Bucks are facing Aries & Roode. At the end of HOH 7, the Dudleys did an angle and said that the Bucks don't respect the business. I may have missed it, but was there ever a follow up to this and where did it lead to? It kind of just fell off. Was that Bully Ray shooting on them and what's the reasoning? I remember Jim Cornette shooting on the Bucks saying they are exposing the business, so I'm wondering if this was along the same lines and that people in the business really don't like the Bucks.

The change was simply a creative decision on Tommy Dreamer's end. There was no heat from the Dudleys on the Bucks. It's simply a case of keeping the match in Dreamer's pocket and who knows, there may be additional angles for it down the line.

Without a doubt Macho Man deserves to be a Hall of Fame headliner. However, with him being deceased who's expected to be the headliner? I can't imagine anyone deceased or in the celebrity wing to be the main event. As if this writing it says Rikishi will be inducted but he doesn't seem headline material. Have they run out of potential headliners for the next few years?

They have lots of headliners in the years to come - Kevin Nash, John Cena, Kurt Angle, Undertaker, Sting, The Rock, Chris Jericho, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, the Hardy Boyz, Goldberg,DX, etc. If I am WWE I have Nash as the co-headliner this year.

Will the WWE be inducting Miss Elizabeth in the HOF? I mean it wouldn't make sense to put Savage in without her. She was such a huge part of his career.

I agree 100%. I'd like to see WWE surprise everyone the night of the Hall by inducting Elizabeth, Angelo Poffo and Lanny Poffo as well as part of Randy's induction.
