DANIEL BRYAN AN AFTERTHOUGHT, THE NEXT TOP GUY POST-CENA AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2015-02-05 10:00:00
This may be a long shot but when John Cena starts the down side of his career do you see anyone on current roster who could be that next top guy?

There's no clearcut obvious guy but WWE really wants it to be Roman Reigns to be that guy.

With all the new studies linking depression and manic behavior to concussions do you ever think WWE (or anyone) will relax their anti-Benoit stance and view him as more a victim than a criminal. I personally have no Idea how I feel. His actions were cruel especially the circumstances surrounding his son. Can that be fully explained by concussions?

I think that some will excuse it as knowledge of CTE becomes more commonplace but the sad reality is that Benoit committed the acts over several days, which means it wasn't just a snap judgment. So, while some will soften their stance, I don't think they will ever be fully forgotten or forgiven and in my mind, they shouldn't be.

Do you see Daniel Bryan being an afterthought as possibly being one of few men if not the only man to lose the WWE title without being pinned and never getting another shot ?

I don't think he will ever be an afterthought because of the fan support he brings to the table, but it's obvious WWE doesn't want him to be "the guy" right now.

Do you guys have any insight into why Stephen Amell (Arrow) hasn't been tabbed as a RAW guest host yet? He's a huge WWE fan (proven by his Twitter feed and his fantasy football league using the belt & entrance music). He's the biggest star on CW's #1 show, and a social media juggernaut (just look at what he's done with his charities), plus he's been lobbying for it FOREVER via Twitter. He even said he'd do an actual MATCH! Is it just a case of his fanbase/audience skewing younger and Vince not "getting" that younger demo? That would seem odd to me since advertisers covet that demo. Any inside info?

My only guess is that an appearance would promote a series that is on the CW, well outside of the NBC Universal family. Beyond that, it's a no-brainer!

Any update on the IZOD Center?

It is closing at the end of March.
