DID WWE KILL BUBBA RAY DUDLEY IN HIS RETURN, WHY ORTON WASN'T IN THE RUMBLE, ELIZABETH IN THE WWE HALL AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2015-01-31 10:00:00

Did WWE just neuter Bubba Ray Dudley on the spot? in TNA, he became a badass persona who talked trash, always had a scowl on his face and work a heavy bike chain around his neck. Then last night at the Rumble, he came out with his taped up nerd glasses and tight camouflaged gear that made him look fat instead of how in shape he's gotten. As soon as I saw him, I was mid-carder and not main eventer, which is what he should be with all the momentum he got from TNA in recent years. I fear WWE is to make him a watered down when he should be a feared Brock Lesnar-esque character.

I don't think so. He came back, got a monster reaction, tossed two guys and only got tossed because he was overwhelmed by two monsters. WWE had him return in his old costume and gimmick because that was what would be familiar to WWE fans. I saw the appearance as a re-introduction, not him being treated like a goof. Compare his return to Boogeyman - it was two different presentations.

Why wasn't Randy Orton a part of the Royal Rumble?

He was there backstage. The company opted to hold him off from working the PPV. My guess is they didn't want his return to take away from Seth Rollins' bout, since Orton vs. Rollins is the planned direction.

What was the best Royal Rumble match in history excluding the 1992 Royal Rumble since that Royal Rumble was for the WWF Championship?

There have been a lot of excellent Rumbles. I always loved the first one in 1988, the 2004 one from Philadelphia and the 2008 one from MSG.

Technically, isn't Curtis Axel the real Royal Rumble winner? He never entered. If they can count Rusev, why not Axel?

Technically, you are right. Unfortunately, technically, no one cares.

With the announcement of the late Macho Man Savage being selected for induction into the WWE Hall of Fame do you see Miss Elizabeth going in as well possibly next year? Do you think she should be inducted along with Savage as well?

I don't see it, unless WWE decides to announce they are putting Savage's entire family in and include her as part of that process. I just don't see WWE loading up the Hall of Fame with that many deceased wrestlers. That said, she certainly deserves to be in there. SHE was the first WWE Diva.
