THE ORIGINAL PLAN FOR DANIEL BRYAN'S WWE TITLE RUN, COULD REIGNS HAVE WON THE RUMBLE WITHOUT FANS REVOLTING, RUSEV VS. CENA AND MUCH MORE

Was there any reluctance on the part of Vince Jr. to take over the family business? Would he rather be doing something like soap operas, and just took over the family business out of obligation before turning into a sports entertainment variety show? Also, what did Vince's mother do for the company? I never hear her mentioned.

There was no reluctance at all. Vince wanted to be in pro wrestling and pushed to be involved but his father tried to get him to do something else before finally bringing him in slowly on a low level, initially as a promoter for small towns and eventually an announcer. Vince's mother was never involved in pro wrestling and had been divorced from Vince Sr. for a long time.

After reading 1/23 Q&A do you really believe Rusev vs Cena should happen? Don't you think Rusev will suffer the same fate as Bray Wyatt? I'm almost certain anyone associated with Cena (teaming or against) gets screwed in the long run. I can totally see Rusev end up like Great Khali and Kozlov. Both were pushed as monsters ( and I get they lacked ring skills) and later turned into comedy gimmicks. I hope Cena stays far far away from Rusev.

I absolutely believe it should happen. If John Cena steamrolls through Rusev, then WWE wasted a lot of time and effort for nothing, but if they can have a great match or better yet, a great match where Rusev gets the victory, they will have solidified Rusev even further for the future. Rusev could certainly end up a comedy goof down the line, but I prefer to hope for the best.

So Daniel Bryan gets into the Royal Rumble, is eliminated too early for the majority of fans, Reigns wins and gets booed as if he had just flipped off the entire WWE Universe. I appreciate that the fans want Bryan in the main event at Wrestlemania, and that the booing was directed at Vince with Reigns not having done anything wrong, but was there a way to have Reigns win the Rumble with Daniel Bryan in it and not have the fans revolt? How about having DB and Reigns going the distance, with Reigns tossing out DB after a grueling last 6-8 minutes of action and close calls, then have Bryan return the ring to shake Roman’s hand?

There was absolutely a way to make it happen. They could have had Bryan go the distance and end up in the end with Reigns and Dolph Ziggler, then do a spot where all three end up going over the ropes. Ziggler and Bryan end up on the floor and Roman lands on the apron. It's a photo finish where "anyone" could have won and that creates an issue where Bryan and Ziggler could face off at Mania and both are obvious opponents for Reigns down the line. That's just one example. I don't think the negative response for Reigns would have been so strong if Bryan hadn't been treated like an after-thought.

I have to wonder what Daniel Bryan's run with the WWE title would have been like if he hadn't gotten injured. Any insight?

The plan was to have Lesnar win the belt by crushing Daniel Bryan. So, the scenario we saw at Summerslam with John Cena would have still happened, only it would have been Bryan getting wrecked before Brock went on to feud with Cena.

Is it indeed true that Velvet Sky is no longer with TNA? If so, has there been any attempts to resign her to a contract? Was the "firing" a work? What's the latest between Velvet Sky and TNA?

You obviously read the site. I reported she's gone. There were no attempts to re-sign her to a new deal as of this writing. She had a short term agreement and it expired. I'd think that at some point, she will return as she's had a number of exits and return and is well liked by management.
