Before we start, I had the chance to see a lot of Elites last night and today and I just want to say, it's always awesome to catch up with everyone. Our own CHIKARA expert Josh Higham is also in the house here at CHIKARA and will send along a live report with thoughts as well. I am sure he will fill in any gaps that I may miss in the storytelling.
We kicked off with the announce team including Mike Quackenbush and Bryce Remsberg shooting an open for the DVD. They actually started 30 minutes late so they could get the crowd in, which is a good problem to have.
Ring announcer Gavin Loudspeaker came out and welcomed the crowd in his unique style. *The Throwbacks (Dasher Hatfield & Jervis Cottonbelly) & Shynron & Mr Touchdown & Princess Kimberlee vs. Blaster McMassive & Max Smashmaster & Flex Rumblecrunch & Jaka & Oleg the Usurper
They did a funny deal where Mr. Touchdown’s football needed to be inflated. Lots of chanting for the Throwbacks early. Don’t expect a lot of play by play here as the entire Blaster side has pretty much blocked my view.
The heroes did some comedy stuff early. Kimberlee hitting some big spots really popped the house. Blaster’s team began working over Mr. Touchdown and wiped out all of teammates, knocking them off the apron. Kimber Lee taged in but Smashmaster nailed her with a back suplex. Jervis had enough and hit the ring, working him over and then brought her back to the corner to tag out. The crowd chanted, “That was sweet.â€
Shynron hit a flying bodypress but was caught and slammed. McMassive’s team took turns beating down Shynron. The crowd rallied for Shynron, He finally made a comeback with some nice springnboard moves. Hatfield tagged in and the villains attempted to overpower him but he tricked them into crashing into each other and they went down in the corner. He slammed another on top of them. The heroes all took turns doing baseball sliding kicks into the corner after screaming, :da da da da daaaa,,,,charge! The crowd loved that and chanted CHIKARA after it lead to a near fall.
Shrynron went to the top for a moonsault but was shoved off. This led into a sequence of big spots, including Kimber Lee clotheslining McMassive over the top to the floor and then hitting a series of strikes on Smashmaster culminating with a big reversal into a DDT. KImber Lee was caught on the top and hit with a nasty superplex for the pin.

A damn fine ten person tag team match. Just awesome, fun wrestling.
They announced the third annual National Pro Wrestling for Norristown, PA on Saturday 2/8.
Ophidian vs. Nøkken
Each competitor has two points, so the winner will have three, which puts them into title contention here in CHIKARA.
Nøkken attacked Ophidian before the bell and laughed at him, feeling he was puny. Ophidian slapped him but was quickly overwhelmed by the larger competitor. Ophydian refused to back down, firing back with a series of rights and using his speed to avoid Nøkken’s charges. He finally took Nøkken out wuith a great spinning body scissors and hit a pair of tope suicidas to the outside. He went for a third but was caught and nailed with a tilt--whirl backbreaker on the floor.
Nøkken began beating down Ophydian in the ring, using his sheer mass and brute force to do so. He nailed Ophydian with the Oklahoma Stampede for a two count. Ophydian fought back and used a forward choke as a submission but was finally slammed and pinned.

Race Jaxon & Hype Rockwell vs. Missile Assault Ant & Arctic Rescue Ant.
We started off hot with Jaxon hiptossing his partner over the top onto the Ants. Missile Assault Ant was way over. Artic Rescue Ant was nailed with a flapjack. Rockwell dropkicked Missile Assault Ant off the apron. Rockwell wiped out Arctic Rescue Ant and scored the pin. That surprised the crowd.

Too short to really be anything of note inside the ring but Jaxon and Rockwell are just awesome characters. After the match, Missile Assault Ant, upset at his partner, abandoned him in the ring and walked off. The crowd chanted, "That's not teamwork."
UltraMantis Black vs. Juan Francisco de Coronado.
Coronado took forever walking to the ring as his slow music played. The crowd chanted. “Hurry up.†He took forever. Like, longer then it takes for George South to remove his jacket. He asked for the mic. The crowd hated that idea. He ripped on the crowd and had a good promo. He then attacked Black as soon as he hit the ring.
Mantis fought back and controlled the action. He slammed Coronado into the buckles and then gave him an atomic drop on the railing. He continued to work over Coronado, who fired back with right hands and slammed him on the stairs. They battled up the aisle as the referee kept counting.
Coronado rolled Black into the ring and covered him for a two count. He slammed Black down and slammed his arm against the corner of the apron, trying to wear Black down. He began focusing his attack on the arm, locking on a submission. The crowd rallied Black to fight him off, but the devastation continued. Coronado used the Divorce Court to continue the assault.
Coronado went to the top but was caught and slammed off by Black. Mantis made a comeback including a killer looking tombstone for a two count. Corono comes back and uses Doug Williams’ rolling back suplex with a bridge for a two count. That looked sweet.
They battled back and forth and Coronado tried to use the ropes for leverage but got caught. Black nailed a version of the Jay-Driller and scored the pin.
Your winner, Ultramantis Black!
Real good match, both in terms of action and with Coronado’s work as a heel.
