TIME TO FIRE THE “YOU’RE FIRED” ANGLE, IS WWE GOING DOWN THE SAME ROAD THAT KILLED WCW, MAKING THE ASCENSION A JOKE AND MORE

Has wrestling finally exhausted the "fired" angle? Lets face it no one has any doubt that Ziggler, Rowan and Ryback will be back on TV in no time!!!!

God yes, it has. Hell, The Authority was just “fired” in November and they are already back. The audience last week was dead quiet because the “your fired” stuff has become a cliche joke. It is time to put it to bed.

Considering TNA has not had a new show in over a month and they moved to a channel most people have never heard of, don’t you expect the number of people watching their show will fall off significantly? I did not even know they had their first show this year until reading it on your website this morning.

I absolutely expected that to happen. For one thing, they lost audience switching from Thursday to Wednesday on the SAME network. Moving to a new network will cost them more. Add in that Destination America only has about 60% of the potential viewers that Spike has it would be crazy to think their audience would stay even with what they did on Spike.

I know questions have been made before mentioning the similarities between the demise of WCW and the current state of WWE before after this weeks RAW I can't help but feel it more than ever. The same guys (well in this case, guy) at the top, failures at developing midcard, no real future planning, wasting potential PPV matches on TV, lack of attention to the secondary show. The list goes on. Everything they are criticising about WCW in theMonday Night War series is happening right now. Rant over. But my question is more about HHH. Whilst he has done wonders with NXT, I can't help but think he has gone a bit Hogan/Nash in the past 2 years, would you agree? He is booked into the biggest angles (The Authority, Daniel Bryan and The Undertaker’s streak), takes up so much mic time and backstage segments and failed to really put over guys (Punk, Axel and Sheamus to an extent). Is this booking a result of his creative control? Or angles simply Vince wants?

First, yes it’s not lost on many (including people in the company) how similar the creative from WCW was in comparison to today’s WWE. The difference is WWE is much more successful financially and is not part of a conglomerate like WCW. I disagree. HHH is not booking himself down everyone’s throats as those two did in WCW. Vince McMahon is THE voice and direction of creative so it’s him that is doing the booking.

Has a Money In The Bank contract holder ever won the Heavyweight championship through means other than cashing in the case contract while still holding the briefcase?

Nope. Mike Epsenhart and I talked about that very subject on Saturday’s show (available in the Elite section, which you can try for three days free).

Didn’t see much of RAW this week before I said “enough”.  In that short time I saw a lot of things that made me think of a lot of questions!  But I’ll stick with just one.  Has “creative” (Vince) killed The Ascension before they even had a chance?  Slagging on The Road Warriors, then squashing jobbers seems like an odd way to debut what should be a decent tag team.

Another subjected covered a lot on Elite audio last week. He sure didn’t do them any favors. And the announcers (especially JBL) talking about what jokes their opponents were was even worse. When The Road Warriors destroyed jobbers, it was put over how dominant they were. That is the exact opposite of what happened last Monday.
