WWE RAW REPORT: THE ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA STARTS WITH THE ACCESS ROAD TO THE ROYAL RUMBLE; A NEW DAY, SOME OLD FACES, AND HONOR COMES TO RAW

By Richard Trionfo on 2014-12-15 23:03:41
We are in Detroit, Michigan and your announcers are Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, and John Layfield.

We begin with Chris Jericho making his way to the ring. We see the feat during the year that got Chris Jericho a Slammy for Extreme Moment of the Year and Fandango was nice enough to accept his award.

Chris welcomes us to the show. He says that he cannot think of a better place to be than Detroit Rock City. He says that he can feel the energy tonight. Y2J is the special guest General Manager of Raw. Chris says that he is going to make this show about all of you.

He mentions that he won a Slammy last week and he thanks everyone who voted for him. He says that he could stand here all night and listen to you chanting his name. He won the Slammy, but he could not be at Raw. Fandango accepted the award for him.

Chris says he will be damned if you tangoing troll or hurdy gurdy horse’s ass to accept his award.

Chris wants Fandumbo, Fandingo, FanDodgeDurango to come out to the ring.

Fandango has turned into Paul Heyman, who makes his way to the ring as he introduces himself. Paul says that confession on the table, he is a Jericholic. That is why he is amused that when speaking truth to power, he is the power. Tonight, Paul Heyman is not in power because Raw is Jericho.

Paul says that he finds that ironic since when one would think that when you have a guest General Manager, you would put the man with the most spectacular track record of running a top promotion? Wouldn’t you put Paul Heyman in charge of Raw?

Paul says that Chris accepted the offer and he is in demand, but Paul says he has a beef with Chris. For Chris to win the Extreme Moment of the Year, he probably campaigned on social media. C’mon, if anyone deserved a Slammy for anything with the word ‘Extreme’ (and the ECW chants start). Paul says that he is not the Ayatollah of Rock and Rollah. He says that he is the Father of the Extreme Concept. He is the Grand Poobah of the Hardcore.

Chris says that Paul is the Walrus. Chris says that Paul gave him his first big break. Chris says that Paul ripped him off and he owes him $200 since 1995. Chris pokes Paul and Paul tells him not to touch him.

Paul says he is not a fighter, he is an advocate. He is not out here to advocate on behalf of his client, the reigning and Undisputed WWE Champion of the World . . . BROCK LESNAR.

He is here to advocate his own position. Paul says he wants to address the Seth Rollins situation. A man who had a chance to be a true Paul Heyman guy for taking John Cena out of the title equation and the number one contendership. Seth Rollins failed in his task tonight. He says that he cannot wait . . .

Seth Rollins’ music plays and he comes out with Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble.

Seth says that Paul said he couldn’t wait to see Seth Rollins later tonight . . .

Seth asks Paul if he has something to say to him face to face?

Paul tells Seth he is crowding him and Seth continues to stay in Paul’s face.

Paul says that he is not a fighter or a sports entertainer, he is an advocate. He wants to take a step back.

Seth points out that Paul Heyman was at ringside to watch the Tables Match. You saw him put John Cena through a table. He saw a WWE official raise his hand in victory. Once again you saw that victory get taken away from him. Seth says that his victory at Survivor Series was taken away by one man, Vigilante Sting.

Seth says he had Cena right where he wanted him, but then there is Roman Reigns. John Cena cannot beat him on his own. John needs help to beat him because Seth is that good. Seth says that he has had enough of John Cena. John can talk about Hustle, Loyalty and Respect, but John Cena is a coward.

John knows that he cannot beat him without help. If John is half the man he is, John will accept the challenge he is going to lay down. He wants to challenge John to a rematch . . . not tonight. Seth says he went through hell last night. When he is good and ready, he wants to face . . .

Speaking of John Cena, he makes his way to the ring.

John tells Seth to go into the corner to play with the kids because the grown men are in the ring. Just because you put a microphone in your hands, it doesn’t mean you have testicles in your pants. We had a match last night, but you lost. You are here whining and complaining and making excuses. That means you haven’t learned how to be a man. A man doesn’t whine and complain over a defeat. A man dusts himself off and continues to fight.

Even if that fight is with a beast (as John looks at Paul). It is official that at the Royal Rumble he will face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship. That is sure as hell going to be one fight.

John says that he still showed up tonight looking for a fight. He heard through Seth’s crap about a rematch. John says that was one of the really nice things that Seth said because John says that he was feeling the same way. John says that Seth said he couldn’t win without help. Tonight, he needs help because he cannot make matches. He needs someone who can make matches on tonight’s Raw.

John spies Chris Jericho still in the ring and he welcomes Chris back to Raw. Chris says that he has the power to make matches tonight on Raw.

Chris says that if we want John Cena versus Seth Rollins on Raw, you have it. Chris suggests that maybe this match take place inside a steel cage.

What a coincidence because there is a steel cage above the ring.

Seth is furious at what Chris did and he calls Chris the worst general manager of all time. He is worse than that computer or Daniel Bryan. Seth says that Chris is jealous of him. He says that Chris is rusty because he is on tour. Chris doesn’t know the hell that Seth went through last night.

Seth says that Chris couldn’t even beat the janitor. He couldn’t beat the popcorn salesman. You couldn’t even beat Paul Heyman.

Chris tells Seth to calm down. He says the popcorn guy is a ninja. He says that he thinks he could beat Paul Heyman.

Seth says that he doesn’t think Chris can beat him. Chris disagrees. Seth says Paul isn’t a fighter. Chris asks everyone if he is the only one who thinks he can beat Paul Heyman.

Paul tells Chris he thinks Chris can beat Paul Heyman.

Chris says that in addition to the cage match between Seth Rollins and John Cena, we will have Paul Heyman versus Chris Jericho. Chris wants people to choose the type of match for tonight. He says that after tonight, Heyman will never . . . eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever be the same agayne.

Lana reminds everyone that Rusev is still undefeated after he crushed that American last night at TLC. She asks Jericho if he has any intelligent questions, she will let him ask.

Chris says that he is right about Lana’s attire. Jericho asks if you are not supposed to wear the same outfit two times in a row. Is her hair too tight? Why is she so angry. He asks Rusev why is he so angry. Maybe Rusev needs to release some stress by showing Lana his Sputnik.

Jericho says he struck a nerve. There’s something between them. Jericho starts to sing. He asks if they are more than Putin’s butt puppets. Does the guy who looks like the unwashed cab driver have something for Lana? Is he trying to show her his cosmonauts? We have the US Champ and the communist tramp.

Jericho and Reigns have a SHUT UP OFF.

Rusev tells Little Man Big Mouth he talks too much. Maybe he crush him now?

Jericho says he doesn’t know what it is about him. Maybe he says the wrong thing. Someone wants to beat him up and fight him on Raw. Jericho says that it is the same thing for Rusev. Someone in the back wants to fight Rusev right here, right now.

Ryback’s music plays and he comes out to the ring.

Jericho leaves the ring because he is not stupid.

Ryback and Rusev stare each other down in the center of the ring. They say something to each other and Rusev leaves the ring.

While Rusev goes to the back, Ryback starts a Feed Me More chant.
