THE REACTION LIVE WHEN THE STREAK ENDED, MATCH CONCEPTS WWE DOESN'T UTILIZE OFTEN AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-11-22 10:00:00
When the streak ended, I remember reading a lot of feedback about how negative the crowd reaction was. As in they were expecting more noise and boos. I think it was the best reaction they could have gotten. For something as big as the streak, do you not think stunned silence is a better reaction than boos and noise. Making 80000 people silent is quite an achievement I think.

I really can't argue that, except for the fact that Undertaker's loss was so stunning for the audience that it took them out of the moment of Daniel Bryan winning the WWE World Heavyweight championship. That reaction would have been far more explosive and much more of a release for the audience had it not been for the streak ending. You answered me about Low Ki being unable to succeed in WWE despite winning NXT Season 2 was because Vince McMahon felt that he shouldn't. While it's often been read that Low Ki has a reputation of having an ego, being difficult to work with, and being hesitant on putting people over in matches, what did he do to not gain any success in the WWE and ultimately get released or, as he's been stating, fired?

Honestly, I never heard anything negative regarding Low Ki's behavior or attitude during his run in WWE. I think it really was a case of Vince McMahon not seeing anything in him in terms of Ki being a player there, which to me, was a real shame and WWE's loss.

Will Colt Cabana and Chris Hero ever make their way back to WWE?

Honestly, too early to be determined. If WWE comes up with a role they feel is suited for either, they'll be back.

I am just wondering why WWE doesn't do more:

1) Best of 7 Series matches
2) Battle Royals to determine the #1 Contender
3) Elimination Tag Team Tables Matches
4) Beat the Clock Challenges
5) Championship Scramble Matches

I think it's just a case of some of the concepts not working (Scramble in particular) and more likely, someone in creative not pitching it to Vince McMahon in a way that Vince approves it.

Among of these choices, which match concept would you like to see incorporated more often within WWE programming? Thanks for providing a Q and A!

I've always loved the concept of a Best of Seven series. Great way to add to the prestige of a championship and to spotlight two talents.
