SURVIVOR SERIES MAIN EVENT, ACKNOWLEDGING NXT ON THE MAIN ROSTER AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-11-15 10:00:42

It suddenly struck me today that the WWE has suddenly created multiple wrestlers who I feel could win any match. Cena, Reigns, Ambrose, Ryback, and even Ziggler for the babyfaces. Wyatt, Harper, Rollins, Rusev for the heels and hopefully Orton as a tweener. Do you think this was this a result of the championship not being the focus of the company, just a happy accident, or an actual successful build-up to the Survivor series?

I think it’s partially a happy accident and partially creative doing a good job in building up the Survivor Series main event, thus far. It’s been a pleasure to watch.

Seeing how NXT is the future of wrestling, why doesn't acknowledge the superstars that came from there and their accomplishments like Big E and Seth Rollins championship reigns?

Traditionally, the NXT belts were never acknowledged on the main roster. NXT was a place where talents went to be groomed. It was never the goal to be there or for it to be celebrated. When NXT was placed on the WWE Network, that changed, but until the decision is made to use the NXT titles and storylines regularly on the main roster storylines, I don’t think we’ll really see it be acknowledged.

Was just wondering why won't WWE bring in legends like Beefcake,Valentine, Bundy,Tito Santana, Demolition, Killer Bees for a Nostalgic episode of RAW instead of the same Piper, Duggan, Dibiase.i know that most are familiar with the last mentioned bit hard core fans wanna see fresh legends too.

I think it’s just WWE choosing to work with those they are in active deals with. In some cases, it’s politics. In some cases, it’s someone not suggesting the names in question.

What are the buy rates like for the TNA one night only pay per views? I don't recall seeing those numbers posted.

Those shows have done small numbers and are really only on PPV because domestically, Spike wasn’t interested in airing them.

Do you think that if done right, there could be a use for a wrestler to do a soldier gimmick. If so, whom would you use from NXT & who would you debut him against in the WWE to make him look strong and with out said guy taking a huge hit to his character.

If they could fine the right guy, sure. A patriotic character can certainly make money if the performer is able to connect with the audience
