WHO WILL BE TAKING OVER FOR JUSTIN ROBERTS, CHALLENGE FOR TOMORROW’S SMACKDOWN TAPING, TWO NEW DIVAS TO JOIN TOTAL DIVAS, JERICHO AT SMACKDOWN AND MORE

By Dave Scherer on 2014-10-20 14:53:56

WWE officially announced that Lilian Garcia will be returning to Raw as its ring announcer, replacing the departed Justin Roberts. Eden (Cody Rhodes’ wife) will be doing the announcing on Smackdown.

There may be some distracted fans at tomorrow’s Smackdown taping in Wichita, KS as the Kansas City Royals will be hosting game one of the World Series tomorrow night. The Royals are undefeated so far in the MLB playoffs.

WWE will be competing with itself on Sunday night as the midseason finale of Total Divas takes place at 9 p.m. on E!, opposite the Hell In A Cell PPV on The WWE Network. Total Divas returns on 1/4/15 and Paige and Alicia Fox join the cast.

In the interview I did with Chris Jericho last night, the subject of his return in November was brought up and he said it would only be for people that are at the cities in Europe where he is appearing. Well, take it for what it’s worth but WWE is advertising him on their website on the page promoting the 11/11 Smackdown taping in Liverpool, England.

Speaking of Jericho, we received the following press release:

Currently in the midst of a successful US run with Theory of A Deadman, FOZZY announce "THE CINDERBLOCK PARTY TOUR" a headlining run in support of their new single and title track of their most recent album, Do You Wanna Start A War.

The CINDERBLOCK PARTY YOUR is a 19 date trek kicking off in Flint, MI on Novemeber 20th with special guests Texas Hippie Coalition and Shaman's Harvest. A full set of dates can be seen below.

In other news, FOZZY is proud and honored to announce the addition of JEFF ROUSE as their new bass player. Jeff is an incredible musician and singer who has spent the last decade playing in DUFF McKAGEN's LOADED and is also the lead singer and guitar player in THE GUESSING GAME. After former bassist Paul DiLeo amicably and mutually parted ways with FOZZY last May, Jeff stepped in and immediately injected his amazing musicianship and electrifying stage presence into FOZZY'S already critically acclaimed live show.

"I'm stoked to have been asked to join FOZZY and to hit the road to support 'Do You Wanna Start A War!' Can't wait to see everyone out there!" Rouse said.

FOZZY guitarist and main songwriter Rich Ward comments, "The first time I saw Jeff play with DUFF McKAGAN'S LOADED, it was immediately apparent that I was watching a special talent. He's a pocket player with killer tone and amazing stage presence. One of the few total package musicians that I have ever known and it's an honor to call him a bandmate and more importantly, my brother."

Singer Chris Jericho says, "I'm very excited to welcome Jeff into the band. His attitude, energy, charisma and playing skills instantly make FOZZY a better band and we are looking forward to a long, prosperous and sexy relationship with him!"

Led by the inimitable duo of guitarist Rich Ward, co-founder of the influential underground band Stuck Mojo, and vocalist Chris Jericho, media personality and former WWE champion, FOZZY'S sixth release Do You Wanna Start A War made its debut on the Billboard charts at #54, proving to be the band's highest chart debut ever, while also notching several other major milestone chart debuts including #20 Rock Albums, #10 Independent Albums, #9 Hard Rock Albums and #1 on the iTunes rock charts in 5 different countries.
