Former WWE star Yoshi Tatsu returned to NJPW during the match attacking Bullet Clubs Jeff Jarrett.
Tomohiro Ishii regained the NEVER Openweight Championship from Yujiro Takahashi.
Kazuchika Okada successfully defended his Wrestle Kingdom title shot against Tetsuya Naito, so set to main event the Tokyo Dome on January 4th is the reprisal of the classic Tanahashi vs Okada feud.
Power Struggle News
The Super Junior Tag Team Tournament was announced for the Road to Power Struggle tour with reDRagon returning to Japan. Opening round matches take place on October 25th and are as follows:
*ReDRagon vs. BUSHI & Mascara Dorada
*Ryusuke Taguchi & Fuego vs. Taichi & El Desperado
*Tiger Mask & Jushin Liger vs The Young Bucks
*The Time Splitters vs. Forever Hooligans
Also announced for the show is the team of Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata vs Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura & Tomohiro Ishii in what looks like a mouth watering match on paper.
Announced for Power Struggle itself on November 8th is:
*AJ Styles vs Yoshitatsu.
*Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kota Ibushi vs. Kazichika Okada & YOSHI-HASHI
*IWGP Intercontinental Championship: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Katsuyori Shibata
