IS WWE STRATEGIC OR CLUELESS WITH THE NETWORK, RKO OUT OF NOWHERE, WHAT HAPPENS TO TNA IF THEY GET NO DEAL AND MORE

Just read the results for the house show in Montreal. Why in the hell would WWE advertise their Network in an area where you can't even get it. Is Vince that oblivious to what's going on around him?

Well, they can get it in parts of Canada and it’s not beyond the realm of possibility to think people traveled to Montreal. Also, they can get it via a VPN service. Plus, it never hurts to mention it to the masses to they pressure Rogers to make more deals with other companies.

Do you see Impact touring after they lose the deal with SPIKE or do you see them going under?

Well, it’s not a gimme that they will lose their deal with Spike. We have heard from a few sources that it’s possible TNA stays on Spike (albeit for less money). But if they lose the TV and don’t get a new one, they are in trouble. They have overseas deals so I see them taping as much as they can in the UK in January and then after that, who knows. Without the TV revenue, which is by far their highest source of cash, they will be hard pressed to stay alive as they are now. I could see them turning into a TV only company for as long as they could make it work.

Do you think Global Force Wrestling will actually be a wrestling company or more of a distribution platform for more international promotions to get airplay in the USA? With them making deals with a lot of international companies it makes me wonder if he's just trying to get content rights to showcase the best everyone has to offer from around the world and possibly have his own version of the Network.

That is what it seems like to me as well. Honestly, being a conduit in today’s environment is not a bad strategy to try. The market is not exactly ripe with companies looking to add wrestling to their networks and with TV revenue as the primary revenue source for a start up, it makes sense to be a middle man if you can’t get a TV deal. After all, GFW was announced six months ago and we haven’t heard a word about them running a show.

I was a huge fan of Dean Malenko in his WCW days and was thrilled when he was named the number 1 wrestler in the world by Pwinsider in their top 500 list in 1997.  I noticed as soon as that happened he started getting buried.  Do you think his career was damaged due to the WCW politics at the time due to his rating?

You mean Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine. We weren’t born until 2004! With that said, no the PWI ratings had nothing to do with how guys got pushed.

Have you heard anything about Randy Orton being made aware the "RKO outta nowhere" vids that have gone viral, and what he thinks?  Basically, GIFs of Randy Orton doing the RKO are edited into videos of people falling on their faces.

WWE is aware of it and put it on their website so I am sure word has filtered back to Randy. He monitors the net and recently disputed a report that said he signed a new deal with fewer dates in it. And yes, they are funny. Whoever came up with that did a great job.
