TNA AND SPIKE, NXT ON MAIN ROSTER, MOVING PPVS TO SATURDAYS AND MORE

Since Vince likes to recycle old ideas, wouldn't the Earthquake's destruction of Hogan back in 1990 be a good way to handle Cena? I was never a Hogan fan, but the way they played up his injuries and the music video of thr attack, with the slower version of "Real American" were awesome. The Hulkamaniacs were really worried he was hurt and wouldn't come back. Something like this would have bern great after Brock destroyed Cena. Is it too late now to do now? Would it work and be a good way to enliven a stale character and product?

I actually love that idea. Had Brock beaten John Cena down and Cena had to fight to return to the ring or even fought to train for a big rematch, you would have the entire emotional crescendo that one might get from watching a "Rocky" film. Unfortunately, WWE decided to go in a different direction, but your idea is certainly a sound one.

Has WWE ever considered Saturdays for PPVs? I know it would go up against boxing and UFC but as I grow older (first WWE live event was Survivor Series 1993 in boston) I find it harder and harder to be a fan and stay up to 11pm on Sundays especially here on the east coast.

WWE obviously has considered it as different PPVs in the early era were on different days. I think that if and when the Network truly grows, we'll see them experiment with this more as the only reason they run Sundays now is that it's the "live wrestling day" for the PPV carriers.

Does WWE having NXT talent on Raw and Main Event in the last week mean anything more than an advertisement for Takeover 2? I'd love to see something like 1 or 2 matches a month promoting NXT talent.

You may get your wish. WWE wants to do more to promote the NXT brand as a way to get people to buy the WWE Network.

I seem to remember a CBS show that Tommy Dreamer and New Jack guest-starred in. Am I just having a fever dream?

No, not at all. In 2000, Dreamer and New Jack appeared in an episode of the CBS series "Early Edition" playing bikers.

Come one - honestly, do you think TNA is staying with Spike TV?

Honestly, my gut feeling is no, but both sides still swear they are in discussions and TNA has already had one extension in their deal to run through the end of the year, so until they are gone, who's to say what is going to happen? I think far too many people are ready to jump on the grave of TNA and dance about it, not thinking about all the talents that are going to end up out of work if that happens. I prefer to wait and see what's going to happen.
