LUCHA UNDERGROUND UPDATE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-09-14 10:39:56
Lucha Underground taped another episode last night in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. I haven't heard complete results yet but was told that a lot of the online criticism that the show's first two episodes weren't really "Lucha" was something that the producers really took to heart this week. It should be noted that the first two episodes were slated to feature three Lucha performers who couldn't work because their visas hadn't come through (they came through after the tapings and worked this week), so when the production has to work around something like that, you really can't knock them for doing the best job that they can given the circumstances.

The third episode was said to have been headlined by Luchadors Fenix Jr., Drago and Pentagon Jr. in a Three-Way bout that was said to have been off the charts.

Mascarita Sagrada (the original, not the second one who portrayed Max Mini in WWF) also worked last night's taping, so they had a minis bout as well.

El Hijo Del Fantasma also worked the taping as a new personality.

Lucha Underground will be taping another episode tonight. If you attended last night's taping or will be there tonight, we are seeking complete reports. Thanks!
