SECOND 9/13 WWE IN SPRINGFIELD, MA LIVE REPORT

By Christopher Z. on 2014-09-14 10:19:17
Just got back from a WWE house show in Springfield, MA. Good show overall with a pretty hot crowd. It also included some pretty solid wrestling and sent the fans home happy.

Sin Cara defeated Heath Slater. Sin Cara was over with the crowd. Match was a solid opener. Afterwards Slater challenged anyone from the back to start a new winning streak.

The Great Kali defeated Heath Slater right away. Match was nothing but perfect use of Khali, who got a nice pop.

Mark Henry beat Cesaro in a match that was solid but a bit disappointing. Too much stalling and I really didn't like Cesaro portrayed as a scared heel. But once things got going it was okay and Cesaro looked better. Henry was pretty over.

*WWE Divas champion Paige defeated Natayla in a Submission match. A very strong match that really made both woman looked strong. It really showed what these two woman could do with more time. Natalya got a nice babyface reaction while Paige showed she is clearly more over as a heel than in her uninspiring face run. Just a really good match.

Big Show and WWE Tag Team champions The Usos defeated the Wyatts in a very strong six man tag. Both teams worked the kind of crisp match they are capable of and both teams were really over. Usos were particularly over with the crowd.

NXT champion Adrian Neville defeated Tyler Breeze. Decent opener post intermission. Tyler really got over as a heel with his arrogant gimmick. Crowd popped for Neville's offense and his finisher. Took a bit for the crowd to get into this but they won them over.

Goldust and Stardust defeated Kofi Kingston and Big E. with Xavier Woods in their corner. A pretty good tag match that seemed to please the crowd. Goldust and Stardust got some heel heat but were still very over as faces. Crowd treated Kofi like he was a star.

John Cena defeated Kane in a Streetfight. Match was a solid main event. Not the best or even second best match of the night but both guys worked hard to make this a good match. Some good chair and table spots. Cena was very over tonight and didn't get that many boos. Many in the crowd were clearly here to see him.

In the middle of the show they showed video with the kid that Bryan visited, who lost it fight with cancer . They showed Bryan celebrating with him at wrestlemania. Just was very sad but uplifting in that they gave the kid and his Dad a fun day together. WWE told the fans where they could donate to charity.

They pimped the network a lot through a network commercial....Which stressed the 9.99 price. They place wasnt sold out but was pretty packed.Crowd seemed really into the show for most of the night.
