JIM CORNETTE TO HOST NEW KAYFABE COMMENTARIES SERIES
Kayfabe Commentaries and Jim Cornette are proud to announce that the new shoot-series "Back to the Territories" will head into production this month for it’s inaugural season. The series, produced by Kayfabe Commentaries (YouShoot, Guest Booker, Timeline: The History of WWE) and co-written by Jim Cornette will take viewers back to the dozens of pro wrestling territories of the past, with one territory to be featured per episode of the series.
Host Jim Cornette will sit down with a major player from the featured territory on each episode and pore over the history, anecdotes, and rare memorabilia that will be on hand. The series taps Cornette’s vast historical knowledge and couples it with his interviewing skills and overall storytelling genius. Season 1 is slated to cover Mid South, Mid Atlantic, and Calgary.
Kayfabe Commentaries is hoping this will be seen as the long-form, definitive history of the pro wrestling territories of yesteryear. KC's three ongoing series under the "Timeline" banner cover the WWE, WCW, and ECW history respectively, each edition producing a year-by-year microscopic analysis. "Back to the Territories" looks to do for the territories what the Timeline series has done for the larger federations.
Each episode of the series will be full feature length and is slated to premiere on DVD and OnDemand on November 4th.
