THE ONE TALENT WWE SHOULD HIRE RIGHT NOW, IGGY AZALEA IN WWE?, SPRINGER AND SAM ON THE SAME RAW AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-09-04 10:00:00
Let me get this straight: At the same time WWE writes an open letter to Michael Sam praising him for his "dignity and class" and invite him on the show, they also extend an invitation to Jerry Springer??? Do you think anyone in charge sees the paradox here? Is Vince really that out of touch?

I think WWE's response to that is that they are the last great variety show. I don't know when the Jerry Springer deal was made, but it was obvious they never had a deal with Michael Sam and just wanted to try and net some publicity for themselves. Obviously, they got that, but I absolutely see where you are coming from here.

Now I realize that if Lashley is to win/dominate his MMA fight with Bellator, that'd be nice publicity for him and TNA. But what if the TNA World Champion loses or gets embarrassed? TNA hasn't exactly had a good reputation in the past few months and the possibility if their top guy being knocked out on live TV seems like a big risk to take.

In MMA, a loss is always a possibility. My guess is that should Lashley lose, TNA will just ignore it when they do their voiceovers. If he should win, Mike Tenay and Taz will go out of their way to promote it.

Shouldn't WWE go out of their way to get Iggy Azalea for Raw or a PPV? She's the hottest thing going and right now, the company needs something hot to come in.

I love Azalea and think she's a hell of a performer, but I don't see her or her handlers being interested in her doing anything physical and really, they'd need some sort of big-time angle with her to create interest - and although she is a huge music star right now, I don't know that it would translate into "making WWE hotter."

Back in the 90's there was this angle between Cactus Jack, Chainsaw Charlie and the New Age Outlaws in which the NAO put Jack and Charlie in a dumpster and pushed them off the stage. Usually I wouldn't have a doubt about this being an angle but one thing that keeps me questioning it is the scences of the aftermath with the NAO talking with a really pissed-off looking Vince McMahon and Road Dogg stating "You know me better than that." So, was this actually planned to go this way from start to finish or was it a situation in which the NAO did something nobody else knew about and that simply went wrong in the end?

The entire segment was an angle and the way they played it off as if it was a legitimate "off the script" moment was indeed, part of the script.

If somehow Bully Ray were to make his way back to WWE, could you see him being put in an immediate program with Brock Lesnar? With a little build up this could be a very hard hitting match with Bully?s unorthodox style clashing with Brock?s MMA style of fighting. I think he?d be a lot more believable than John Cena, and besides, outside of a very few who else can stand up to Brock right now? To believe that Cena could take such a beating from Brock and come back to win the next match defies all logic to me, and while I like Roman Reigns I just don?t see him at that level quite yet.

As I discussed on The We Don't Need No Stinkin' Name Show in the Elite section of PWInsider.com yesterday with Dave Scherer, I really feel like Bully would be one of the best "gets" for WWE right now. He's a veteran who can not only be a believable, hated heel in a WWE where there aren't many, if any, of those, but he also has a knack for having good matches and making the talents he is working with stronger and meaning more by the time he is done with them. In TNA, Jay Lethal, Mr. Anderson and others were hotter and a little more over when they were done with their Bully programs. I'd personally think having someone like that added to the main WWE roster is a no-brainer.
