HOGAN UPSET WITH BROCK, NXT TAKEOVER II, MORE ON NEW WWE FILM, CESARO AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-08-22 08:51:28

While it had been mentioned here on PWInsider.com several weeks ago, it was officially announced last night that WWE NXT Takeover II will air live on the WWE Network on 9/11.

TMZ featured a piece on Hulk Hogan being upset with Brock Lesnar on their website. As we broke in the Elite section last weekend, Lesnar's line "Party's over Grandpa" during the Hulk Hogan Birthday edition of Raw was something Lesnar improvised on his own as it wasn't in that night's script. Hogan is playing up the story, but the reality was he wasn't thrilled about the line, something that a lot of people were talking about Summerslam weekend.

As Dave mentioned a few days ago, WWE has signed on to produce a film currently known as "Untitled Celebrity Death Pool,” which will star Ken Jeong (who appeared on the Raw with Jeremy Piven a few years back) as a struggling nightclub owner who decides to kill actor David Hasselhoff in order to win a long-running celebrity death pool to get out of his own sizable debts. Hulk Hogan has signed on for a cameo in the film. WWE are working with Hyde Park on the project. They are also working with Hyde on "The Fall Guy" with The Rock playing the role Lee Majors portrayed in the 1980s series it is being adapted from.

The 10/21 WWE Smackdown taping in Wichita, Kansas will go on sale this Saturday.
