WWE NXT REPORT: THE FINALS ARE SET; TAKEOVER IN THREE WEEKS; NEW GM NEXT WEEK; A HAIR MATCH IS COMING . . . CAN YOU GET HYPED FOR THAT?

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Tom ‘I’m Still Here’ Phillips, Renee ‘The Female Michael Cole’ Young, and Byron ‘At Least I don’t have to fly cross country twice for this’ Saxton.

Before our first match, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady have something to say. He says that he is a bona fide ‘G’ and a certified stud. He says that Big Cass is seven feet tall and you can’t teach that.

Match Number One Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore versus Aiden English and Simon Gotch in a Semifinal Match in the Number One Contender Tournament for the NXT Tag Team Titles

Colin and Aiden start off and they lock up. Aiden with a side head lock and he tries to take Colin down but Colin stays on his feet. Colin with a shoulder tackle and a knee to the midsection. Gotch tags in but Colin with a kick to English. Colin with a slam and elbow drop for a near fall. Enzo tags in and he punches Gotch while Colin holds him.

Enzo with another punch and he gets a near fall. Enzo with a boot across the face followed by an Irish whip and Colin tags back in. Colin throws Enzo at Gotch in the corner but English with a drop kick to Colin. Enzo tags in and he goes up top. Gotch catches Enzo off the turnbuckles and he tags in English who hits That’s a Wrap for the three count.

Winners: Aiden English and Simon Gotch (Advance to the Finals)

After the match, The Legionnaires attack Colin and Enzo. Sylvester gets clippers and he shaves part of Enzo’s beard before going to the back.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Triple H makes his way to the ring.

Triple H says that it is an exciting time in the WWE. NXT has become THE brand on the WWE Network. Hunter says that with that in mind, it is time once again for NXT to ‘Take Over’. In three weeks, on Thursday, September 11th, live at Full Sail at the NXT Arena, NXT will Takeover the WWE Network with a two hour live special unlike anything you have ever seen before.

The NXT Title, the NXT Women’s Title will be defended. The winners of the Number One Contender Tournament will face The Ascension. On that night, at NXT Takeover, it will be overseen by the brand new NXT General Manager. That General Manger will be here next week. For anybody who loves NXT, if you love NXT right now, when that General Manager gets here, you will know that you have seen nothing yet.

Tyler Breeze is with Devin Taylor and she asks him if he is upset. Tyler says that he worked so hard to become Number One Contender and Tyson Kidd decided to interfere in your chance to become the most gorgeous NXT Champion. Tyson Kidd is about to find out that Prince Pretty is not just a pretty face.

Match Number Two: Tyson Kidd versus Tyler Breeze

Tyler shows a lot of aggression before the bell rings and he has something to say to Tyson. Tyler with a kick and he sends Tyson into the turnbuckles and Tyler kicks Tyson in the corner. Tyson sends Tyler into the corner and he punches Tyler. Tyson with a back elbow and snap mare followed by a kick to the back. Kidd with a suplex and he holds on for a swinging neck breaker. Tyson sets for a punch and Tyler covers up. Tyson with kicks and he tries for the Sharpshooter but Tyler gets to the floor.

Tyler takes his phone and he says that he does not need this and he goes to the back. The referee makes his ten count.

Winner: Tyson Kidd

After the match, Tyson puts on Tyler’s vest since Tyler left it in the ring when he went to the back.

We go to commercial.

Tyler is asked about walking out of his match. Tyler says that he and Tyson are fine. He is worried about the big announcement next week about the NXT Title.

Match Number Three: Charlotte versus Becky Lynch

Charlotte bounces off the ropes while Becky does some head banging. Charlotte with a waist lock take down into a front face lock. Charlotte misses a clothesline and Becky with a rollup for a near fall. Becky with a knee drop to the leg but Charlotte gets a near fall. Charlotte with a single leg take down and she works on the leg. Becky with a rollup for a near fall. Becky with a crucifix for a near fall.

Charlotte with a kick and Irish whip but Charlotte misses a splash into the corner. Becky is sent to the apron and Becky with an elbow but Charlotte stops Becky and kicks her in the corner. Charlotte with a snap mare and figure four head lock. Becky bridges back and gets a near fall. Charlotte with a clothesline and she gets a near fall. Charlotte with another near fall. Charlotte sends Becky into the turnbuckles and punches her.

Charlotte with a forearm to the back and Becky with a European uppercut. Charlotte with an Irish whip but she runs into an elbow. Becky with clotheslines and a drop kick followed by a leg drop. Becky with a running snap leg drop for a near fall. Becky tries for a suplex but Charlotte blocks and counters with a suplex of her own. Charlotte with Bow Down to the Queen for the three count.

Winner: Charlotte

We go to commercial.

We are back and Enzo Amore comes back with Colin Cassady and he has a message for Sylvester Lefort. He says that he is putting it on the line. He is walking the walk and talking the talk. He is putting the Mohawk against whatever is on Sylvester’s head for NXT Takeover. Colin says that if you aren’t down with that, you are S-A-W-F-T.

We take a look at Bull Dempsey’s attack on his tag team partner after their loss to Aiden English and Simon Gotch.

Match Number Four: Mojo Rawley versus Steve Cutler

Rawley runs Cutler into the corner and he connects with shoulders. Rawley with a running shoulder tackle and he gets a near fall. Cutler with a kick and forearms before he sends Rawley into the turnbuckles. Cutler with a clothesline for a near fall. Cutler with a reverse chin lock. Cutler with forearms to the back and Rawley blocks being sent into the turnbuckles.

Rawley send Cutler into the turnbuckles followed by an Irish whip and hard Irish whip. Rawley with a Stinger Splash followed by a second one. Rawley with a running butt bump followed by HyperDrive for the three count.

Winner: Mojo Rawley

After the match, Mojo takes the mic and he has something to say to Bull Dempsey. He says that he stays hyped. Last week, he didn’t keep his head on a swivel and Bull Dempsey lit him up. Mojo tells Bull that he is still standing here and he will take whatever Bull’s got. If Bull thinks he is just a smile, the smile is gone. He will show what it means to stay hyped.

Match Number Five: Sin Cara and Kalisto versus Sami Zayn and Adam Rose in a NXT Tag Team Title Number One Contenders Tournament Semifinal Match

Rose and Kalisto start things off and they lock up. Rose with a side head lock and shoulder tackle and then he skips around the ring. They lock up and Rose with a wrist lock but Kalisto with a cartwheel into a reversal and Zayn tags in. Cara tags in as well. They lock up and Zayn with a wrist lock. Cara with a reversal into a side head lock take down.

Zayn with a head scissors and Cara escapes. Cara with a single leg take down. Cara with a springboard arm drag and Zayn goes to the floor. Cara and Kalisto tease dives to the floor but they stay in the ring. We go to commercial.

We are back and Kalisto with a side head lock on Rose. Kalisto with a springboard corkscrew press for a near fall. Kalisto with a side head lock take down. Rose with a belly-to-back suplex and Zayn tags in. Zayn with a back breaker and he gets a near fall. Zayn sends Kalisto into the turnbuckles twice. Zayn with a snap mare but Kalisto lands on his feet.

Kalisto walks on his feet and he sends Zayn over with a head scissors for a near fall. Cara tags in and they connect with double kicks and then Cara power bombs Kalisto onto Zayn and Cara gets a near fall. Cara with an Irish whip and Cara is sent to the apron. Cara with a kick and he tries for a mooonsault but Zayn moves. Cara with a hip toss and he gets a near fall.

Cara with a rear chin lock and he sends Zayn into Kalisto’s boot. Kalisto tags in and he gets a near fall. Zayn with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker and he gets a near fall. Rose tags in and punches Kalisto and then Rose with mule kicks to Kalisto’s chest. Rose with a snap mare and reverse chin lock.

Rose with a forearm to the back and forearms to the chest for a near fall. Rose with an Irish whip and he runs into boots from Kalisto. Rose with a spine buster when Kalisto charges out of the corner. Rose gets a near fall. Rose with punches but Kalisto with a kick to the head. Kalisto with another kick and Cara tags in and he hits a springboard head butt followed by a clothesline and springboard cross body.

Cara with a head scissors to Zayn. Cara with a handspring back elbow but Zayn breaks up the cover. Kalisto with a drop kick to Zayn and Cara with a suicide dive to Zayn. Rose with a clothesline to Kalisto. Kalisto with a kip up into an enzuigiri. Kalisto with Solida del Sol followed by Fallen Star by Sin Cara for the three count.

Winners: Sin Cara and Kalisto (Advance to face Aiden English and Simon Gotch in the Finals)
