WHAT HULK HOGAN SAID TO TICK OFF DANA WARRIOR, MONDAY'S RAW, DOES ROMAN REIGNS HAVE HOLLYWOOD ASPIRATIONS, BRYAN TALKS, TOTAL DIVAS COMING BACK AND MORE

By Dave Scherer on 2014-08-16 10:14:56

John Cena and Brock Lesnar are being advertised for Monday's Raw in Las Vegas, NV. Also, they are advertising locally Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt and Seth Rollins in what will probably be a dark match.

For those who asked, the comments that Hulk Hogan made, which angered Dana Warrior, were made on a SummerSlam related podcast that he did on Grantland.com. You can check out what Hogan said by clicking here. Mark Henry and Mick Foley's daughter Noelle also appeared. The entire podcast is at Grantland.com.

The Santa Clarita Valley News did a story about WWE's involvement at the Special Olympics basketball game fundraiser yesterday, which you can read by clicking here.

E! has done an interview with the case of Total Divas to promote the September season premiere, which you can read by clicking here.

Eric Lewis sent this update about the WWE Network in Canada. ... Rogers has responded to some of the concerns about the WWE Net Pak in Canada on their website. They said it is not meant to be the full network, and there will be 30 to 40 hours of content available on demand on a regular basis. They said Rogers is sponsoring an application to the CRTC to have the full network in Canada at some point. They also said they're working with other TV providers to try to offer Net Pak across the country. All the info can be seen by clicking here. Also, I asked a Rogers rep on Twitter about two problems with the Net Pak: 1) The HD channel isn't widescreen and programming is "squished" to 4:3 (standard definition width) and 2) the guide isn't accurate. They said they're working out the kinks and asked us to give them a week. So it looks like Summerslam will not be available in proper HD via the Net Pak in Canada.

Former WWE star Del "The Patriot" Wilkes talked to Mike Mooneyham about his problems with addiction. You can read the piece by clicking here.

Paul Jordan sent this item. ... Spinoff Magazine did an interview with Daniel Bryan last month at San Diego Comic Con. They asked him about his return which he was unclear about. When asked with his rehab schedule was like said the following: "I literally wake up, take the dog out, go to physical therapy number one, drive about half an hour to physical therapy number two, from there I go to my acupuncture and from there to my ART [Active Release Technique]. And that’s every day. It’s physically and mentally exhausting, but I’m doing my best to get better so I can come back as soon as possible." Bryan is also asked whether he reads comics mentioning his battle against a WWE Hall of Famer in the upcoming WWE Superstars comic story arc (spoilers ahead)., what he is most excited about in WWE with the signing of Kenta and more. You can read the whole piece by clicking here.

Chuck Carroll sent this item. ... Roman Reigns was my guest this week on The Turnbuckle Weekly with Chuck Carroll. I asked him whether he had any ambitions of following his cousin "The Rock" to Hollywood. It doesn't look like that will be the case anytime soon. "Iim willing to try anything and gain a little experience in anything," he said. "Is it something that is a big goal of mine? I can't say that it is right now because I'm so caught up in WWE. (I'm) trying to be the face of this company and the top guy and have the WWE World Championship." We also talked about Sting possibly wrestling in WWE. He's all for it, but had a message for him. "For his sake, if he steps in the ring, I hope he stays away from me. I'm not the guy to run into these days," he said. "I think it's pretty cool just to be on the (SummerSlam) panel with him. Just to chat and BS a little bit with all those guys. It's going to be a good time and anything can happen. But if he steps in the ring, he's a seasoned veteran, he knows what he’s doing. But there’s a whole bunch of youngins on this roster that are hungry and we’re not trying to give any space for anybody else." I also asked him about his timetable for winning the WWE Title and critics who say a wrestler needs to have been around a while and paid his dues before getting the belt. And after giving a chair shot to a cardboard cutout of LeBron James, he told me what NFL player he'd like to hit in real life.

Here’s everything we talked about:

* Concern when WWE told him they were breaking up The Shield
* Whether he’s surprised he’s come so far so fast
* Whether you need to be a veteran to be a champion
* Best match of his career
* Extra pressure of coming from a wrestling dynasty
* Breaking free of the family spotlight and make a name for himself
* Following The Rock into acting
* Sting in WWE
* What celebrity he’d like to hit with a chair
* Keeping up with a crazy schedule
