CM PUNK'S LATEST GIG, FLAIR WORKS AT FRIDAY'S HOUSE SHOW, DANIEL BRYAN INJURY UPDATE, KANE HELPING OUT PEOPLE WHERE HE LIVES AND MORE

In case you missed it, Ric Flair was in Tulsa, OK last night to be the official in the Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton streetfight, which Reigns won.

The Daniel Bryan catching the criminal story has gotten picked up by many, many media outlets. It really is a cool story. We have full video and a report up elsewhere on the site. Bryan talked to WWE.com about the incident as well. You can read it by clicking here.

As Bryan mentioned at the press conference, he heard from the WWE doctor on Thursday that after having surgery for the compression of his ulnar nerve in two spots in his back, the ulnar nerve in his right elbow is compressed and he needs to have surgery to fix it. So he will be out of the ring a bit longer as that isn't a quick fix surgery. He noted he has about half the strength in his right arm that he does in his left.

WATE TV in Tennessee has as story talking about how Kane, through his Jacobs Agency, will be sponsoring an event on Thursday, July 31 to benefit the Union County Food Pantry to help feed hungry people in Eastern Tennessee, where he has lived since 1995. He moved there while working at Unabomb for Smokey Mountain Wrestling. You can read the story at this link.

Mike Faulhaber sent word that CM Punk is a correspondent for Nerdist News at Comic Con in San Diego and is appearing in YouTube clips on their channel.

I found one video of Punk at this link.

John Cena posted the following on Twitter: "I may be criticized. I may be ridiculed. I may be despised. I will be stronger. I will laugh. I will love. I will live."

Cena definitely gets a lot of flak from fans but I have to wonder if he is so cognizant of it, why he doesn't make small changes to his character that could actually get the adult fans like him a little more is beyond me.

Ricky Steamboat was interviewed by Mike Mooneyham. Asked about his status with WWE he said, "I am under a Legends contract. I'm like a diplomat. I do appearances and autograph sessions and speak for the company. It's a great gig for me. I'm glad I'm still able to do this and still have some notoriety, to keep this old dog going until it's time to ride off into the sunset." You can read the whole story by clicking here.
