If Michaels didn't choose to come back to wrestle his greatest student, Daniel Bryan, when he had that chance, I don't believe we will ever see it. Michaels is one of the greatest ever, but I think he closed that chapter in his life when he lost to Undertaker. That sort of sucks for wrestling fans, since Michaels vs. Bryan would have rocked, but Michaels made the right call for himself and his family - and that's what is truly important.
How was WCW able to get Lex Luger to jump from WWF when Nitro started?
The short version of the story is that Luger wasn't under a WWF contract as his last one had expired, so WCW was able to secretly make the deal and fly him in the day of the first broadcast. It was one of those perfect storm moments that will never, ever happen again.
Why doesn't the WWE Network add new episodes of WCW, WWE, ECW, etc. weekly? It drives me nuts to watch ECW TV and then the next two episodes are missing.
I understand your pain as I feel the same way about the World Class material. I don't have a clear answer as to why this happens beyond the fact that they didn't have all the material digitized, closed captioned and cleared by WWE legal when they launched the Network and are still playing catch-up.
Did anyone ever give a clear reason as to why WWE released Chris Hero?
There were a lot of suspicions but no one has ever really outright stated the reasons publicly. I felt and still feel that one was a mistake as Hero has size and can really wrestle during a time period where those are placed at a high premium.
What was the best opening match in Wrestlemania history?
Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan or Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart. Those are my picks.
