The excellent piece noted for the first time publicly that The Rock, after making "The Toothfairy" in 2010, called upon Vince McMahon for help, unhappy with his former representation when they frowned upon returning to WWE. McMahon set him with up with superagent Ari Emmanuel (the basis of the Ari Gold character in HBO's "Entourage") who flew to Johnson's home and then set up a meeting with 150 staffers of William Morris Endeavor to show him how serious they were about working with him.
That change in representation and direction led to The Rock finally coming back to WWE as well as a slew of monster starring roles for Johnson as an action-adventure star in new and existing franchises, including next month's "Hercules" as well as "Fast & Furious" and "G.I. Joe."
The article dives into Johnson's current personal life and the effect his divorce had on him personally and how it led to him changing his life.
On returning the ring, Johnson doesn't rule it out but notes it would have to be something on a Wrestlemania or bigger scale, in terms of the size of the spectacle as well as the payday.
