By Brian Cannon on 2014-04-12 07:43:03

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, April 9, 2014. This episode can be seen online starting tomorrow at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Trailer Park Trash calls out the Bodyguy, Marcus Anthony defends the OVW Heavyweight Title against Ryan Howe in a rematch from the Sunday Night Special, Melvin Maximus defends the OVW TV Title against another member of the Marauders, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Double R Superstar" Randy Royal vs. Aaron Sky.
Aaron is sent off the ropes and runs into a shoulder from Royal. Royal goes off the ropes, Aaron ducks, and hits a dropkick, and then another. Royal kicks Aaron in the stomach, knees him in the head and clotheslines him down. He chops Aaron's chest and throws him into the corner. He charges at him, but Aaron moves and rolls Royal up for a quick 3.
WINNER: SKY by pinfall.

"Rudo" Raul LaMotta (w/Shiloh Jonze & Nick Dumeyer) vs. Eddie F. Diamond.
EFD goes for the Crossface right away, but Raul grabs the ropes. Raul locks up EFD from behind, and EFD tries to reverse into the Crossface again. EFD hits Raul's head into the turnbuckle. Raul kicks and chops EFD. He hits EFD in the mouth. He goes to throw EFD to the corner, but EFD reverses. EFD hits a flying forearm on Raul in the corner. He dropkicks Raul and goes for the Soulja Boy, but is tripped by Dumeyer. Raul hits EFD from behind and goes for the Curb Stomp, but Shiloh yells at him to turn EFD around so the fans can see what is about to happen. As he does, EFD trips him and locks in the Crossface for the tapout.
WINNER: EFD by submission.

Deonta Davis vs. Tony Gunn.
Gunn comes out and says that he cut the head off the snake by defeating Shiloh Jonze at the Sunday Night Special. He says his mission is to rid OVW of the disease known as the Marauders. Deonta attacks him from behind and clubs him across the back. He clotheslines him down for 2. He locks Gunn in a sleeper. Gunn elbows out, but Deonta elbows him into the corner. He charges at Gunn, but eats a boot. He tries again, but runs into Gunn's boots again. Gunn grabs Deonta and hits the reverse Russian leg sweep for the 3.
WINNER: GUNN by pinfall.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on OVW's official website late Thursday afternoon/evening at www.ovwrestling.com/tv and on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings).

Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey, & Michael Titus are all on commentary with Titus pulling double duty as the ring announcer.

Before the show begins, Dean Hill talks about the passing of the Ultimate Warrior, saying the wrestling world lost an icon, and does the 10 bell salute.

OVW Southern Tag Team Champions Dylan Bostic & the Mexicutioner (w/Timmy Danger) vs. Elvis Pridemoore & Leon Shelly.
Dylan & Mexicutioner beat down Leon, who tags in Elvis. Elvis doesn't fare much better, going down to the spinebuster/backstabber finisher.
WINNERS: MEXICUTIONER & BOSTIC by pinfall.
After the match, Gilbert Corsey interviews Timmy Danger. He tries to ask him about losing to Jamin, but Timmy keeps cutting him off and changing the subject to the wins of Dylan & Mexicutioner and Marcus Anthony. Gilbert finally yells at him, asking if anyone has ever told him it's rude to interrupt. OVW Owner Danny Davis joins them at ringside and says that since Timmy likes interruptions, he's got some news for him. First, there will be a mini tag team tournament on TV over the next few weeks leading up to the next Saturday Night Special to name new #1 contenders.
Secondly, he brings out Ryan Howe and says there will be a rematch tonight between Marcus Anthony & Howe. Danny tells Timmy that he better not get involved or he will regret it. He also says the #1 contender in waiting, Jamin Olivencia, will be on commentary.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "Marksman" Nick Dumeyer vs. "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (c).
Dumeyer throws his arm up and says this is for Shiloh. He turns and charges at Melvin, but runs into his shoulder. Melvin slams him, and then picks him up and throws him to the corner. He charges, but Dumeyer moves and again says he's doing it for Shiloh, not realizing Melvin stopped short of running into the corner. He turns around into the Bearhug and is forced to tap.
WINNER and STILL OVW TV CHAMPION: MELVIN by submission.
After the match, Shiloh Jonze comes out with Raul LaMotta. He says that Dumeyer was instrumental in taking out Trailer Park Trash at the Saturday Night Special a couple months ago, and went on to have an illustrious singles career. Now he has failed him. He makes him put his hands on the mat. Tony Gunn runs out with a bat in hand.
He calls Shiloh a bully and tells Dumeyer to set an example and roll out of the ring. Shiloh says he needs to listen to him. Gunn says not to listen to either one of them, listen to the fans. Dumeyer decides to roll out and join Gunn, much to the dismay of Shiloh. Gunn says that's one down.

Gilbert Corsey is in the ring to interview Trailer Park Trash. They discuss the First Blood Match at the Special, and how Bodyguy used fake blood to win. Trash says this all started with the Bodyguy having to wear a dress and thinking he could get an easy win against an old guy like himself. He had to get a big goon to help him. He calls him out, calling him a 200 lb. bag of ugliness. Bodyguy comes out with his bodyguard Big Jon. They look like they are going to gang up on Trash, but Flash Flanagan runs out to the ring with 2 kendo sticks and Bodyguy & Jon run from the ring. Referee Chris Sharpe comes out and says that Danny Davis has just decided to make a tag match for right now!

The Bodyguy & Big Jon vs. Flash & Trash.
Flash locks up with the Bodyguy and chops him in the corner. Trash comes in and chops him. Bodyguy & Jon take advantage distracting the ref to work over Trash. Trash finally tags Flash. Flash hip tosses and slams Bodyguy. He hits Jon off the apron. Trash tags in and Flash scares Bodyguy with the kendo stick. He turns around and Trash jumps over him with a sunset flip for the 3.
WINNERS: FLASH & TRASH by pinfall.
After the match, Bobby Black runs out and helps the Bodyguy & Big Jon beat down Flash & Trash.

***DISCLAIMER*** The following is a very blasphemous segment that I am not in agreement with:
The Pastor of Disaster comes out and says that tonight's word is "help". He supposedly lost at the Special, but the man he faced is the one who is lost. He is full of hate and the makeup he wears is to cover up the evil. He can help him, though. Paredyse comes to the ring and says he thought he was done with this. He says the Pastor tries to spin everything around and discriminate against those who are different, but the god he knows loves everyone equally. He says he already pimp-slapped him physically at the Special, but next week, he will pimp-slap him verbally in a debate.

J. Best & Dapper Dan vs. "The Sky Walkers": "Primetime" Robbie Walker & Aaron Sky.
The Sky Walkers make relatively quick work of their opponents, hitting a double dropkick on Dapper Dan for the 3.
WINNERS: SKY WALKERS by pinfall.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe vs. Marcus Anthony (w/Timmy Danger) (c).
Marcus & Howe go back and forth early. Howe tries to grab Marcus in the Whammy Bar, and referee Chris Sharpe gets hit in the face.
Josh Ashcraft runs out to call the match, but Sharpe tells him he's fine. They argue and Marcus throws Howe into Sharpe, knocking him out. Howe is able to lock in the Whammy Bar on Marcus, but Ashcraft turns away to check on Sharpe just as Marcus starts tapping. Danger gets on the apron. Howe breaks the hold, flips Timmy in, and locks the Whammy Bar on him. Marcus hits Howe in he head from behind and locks him in the Crimson Omen. Ashcraft turns around almost immediately and calls for the bell.
WINNER and STILL OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: MARCUS by submission.
Danny Davis comes out and says he told Timmy Danger that if he interfered, he'd regret it. He says he knows that there's one thing he likes even more than the pink panties everyone knows he wears now, and that's the titles. He says at the next Saturday Night Special on May 10, Jamin Olivencia will face Marcus Anthony for the OVW Heavyweight Title in the STEEL CAGE, and Timmy will be banned from ringside!

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

The Bodyguy & Big Jon vs. "Party Starter" Bud Dwight & the Assassin.
Dwight comes out alone and Bodyguy says that this party will be over quick, since he is too stupid to have a partner. Assassin comes out and wants to start the match, but neither Bodyguy or Big Jon will start the match with him. They want Dwight. They tag in and out working over Dwight for most of the match until Bodyguy misses a kneedrop. Assassin tags in and rams Bodyguy's head into the turnbuckle. He hits his powerful clothesline and tags Dwight to finish him off. As he gets out on the apron, Big Jon pulls at his leg and they have a staredown on the floor. Dwight misses a flying elbow drop, and Bodyguy hits Dwight in the throat with his thumb for the 3.
WINNERS: BODYGUY & BIG JON by pinfall.
