If you think that's an odd one, think again. Warrior was very close with the McMahon family during his run on top as WWF champion, which was one of the reasons his fallout and lawsuits with the company were so bitter at the time.
WWE sources have noted that before he left, CM Punk had been discussed as Warrior's inductor, but I don't know whether that was ever made official internally. It was indeed discussed, however.
