COMPLETE SHINE 16 REPORT: HAVOK VERSUS KAY; WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF VALKYRIE AFTER RAIN FACES IVELISSE; TAG TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCED FOR FEBRUARY 28TH AT SHINE 17; AND MORE

The Shine roster comes out and circles the ring.

Lenny Leonard mentions that professional wrestling lost one of its pioneers when Mae Young passed away. She is the only person to wrestle in nine different decades. WWN offers its condolences and give a ten bell salute in her honor.

Leva gets in Nevaeh’s face and they have to be separated by officials.

Match Number One: Kimberly (with Daffney) versus Sojo Bolt

Sojo wants to start a ‘crazy’ chant for Kimberly and Kimberly appears to like the chant. Kimberly with a side head lock take down while she tries to get Daffney’s approval. Sojo with a rollup for a near fall. Kimberly holds on to the side head lock while Sojo gets to her feet. Sojo with a reversal and side head lock take down of her own.

Kimberly with a head scissors. Sojo escapes but Kimberly with another side head lock take down. Sojo with a side head lock but Kimberly with a double leg take down. Kimberly with an arm drag into an arm bar and then a chin lock. Sojo with an elbow but she runs into an elbow from Kimberly followed by a clothesline.

Kimberly gets a near fall. Sojo with a punch and then she tries to toss Kimberly by her hair but it does not work. Kimberly tries but she fails. Sojo is able to toss Kimberly to the mat by her hair and then Sojo kicks Kimberly while trying to ‘impress’ Daffney. Sojo gets a near fall. Sojo chokes Kimberly in the ropes. Sojo with a snap mare and then she stands on Kimberly’s hair and the referee warns Sojo.

Kimberly with a head scissors that sends Sojo to the floor. Sojo returns to the ring but she does not see Kimberly and Kimberly hits a Samoan drop for the three count.

Winner: Kimberly

Match Number Two: Amber O’Neal versus La Rosa Negra

They lock up and Rosa with a side head lock take down into a front face lock. Amber with a side head lock. Rosa sends Amber into the turnbuckles but Amber with an arm wringer and kick followed by a series of neck breakers for a near fall. Rosa with a rollup for a near fall. Rosa with a leg sweep or a near fall.

Rosa avoids Amber and Rosa hits a drop kick. Amber with an Irish whip and Rosa with a kick followed by a clothesline from the turnbuckles for a near fall. Amber with an Irish whip and kick followed by a butt shake in the corner. Amber with a drop kick in the corner.

Amber with an Irish whip. Rosa with shoulders in the corner. Rosa with a bronco buster in the corner. Amber with a kick to the midsection followed by an X Factor for a near fall. Rosa with a power slam for a near fall. Amber with a jawbreaker followed by a backslide and bridge for the three count.

Winner: Amber O’Neal

Match Number Three: Mercedes Martinez versus Su Yung

Su has something to say to Mercedes as the bell rings and Mercedes hits two suplexes followed by a fisherman’s buster. Martinez kicks Su and punches her. Martinez with a punch and chops. Martinez kicks Su and chokes her. Martinez with forearms across the chest on the apron. Martinez with another punch to Su.

Martinez with a chop and then she chokes Su in the corner. Martinez chokes Su again and the referee warns her again. Su escapes a slam attempt and Su with an O’Connor Roll for a near fall. Martinez goes to the floor when Su ducks and Martinez charges at her.

Su with a senton off the apron onto Martinez and both ladies are down. Su rolls Martinez back into the ring and she gets a near fall. Martinez tries for a leg submission but Su escapes. Su with kicks to Martinez and then she applies a hanging head scissors but Martinez with a buckle bomb and hesitation drop kick.

Martinez gets a near fall. Martinez gets another near fall. Martinez with chops in the corner and then she sends Su into the turnbuckles and connects with a series of forearms. Martinez returns to the chops. Su with an Irish whip but Martinez floats over and pulls Su to the mat. Su is run into the turnbuckles but Martinez misses a charge and goes shoulder first into the ring post. Su with chops and slaps to Martinez and then she puts Mercedes in the tree of woe. Su with kicks to the back followed by a hesitation drop kick. Su gets a near fall. Martinez with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall.

Su counters the Fisherman’s buster into an inside cradle and the go around the ring. Martinez hits the fisherman’s buster for the three count.

Winner: Mercedes Martinez

Lenny Leonard announces that Shine 17 will return on February 28th to crown the first Shine Tag Team Champions in an 8 team tournament.

Match Number Four: Serena Deeb versus Santana

They shake hands and then lock up with Serena giving a clean break but Santana was not going to give up her guard. Deeb with a waist lock but Santana with a standing switch. Deeb with a take down into a hammer lock. Santana with a side head lock. Deeb tries to escape but Santana holds on to the side head lock. Serena with an arm bar.

Santana with a flip to reverse the hold and she applies a wrist lock. Deeb with a reversal of her own into a side head lock and take down. Santana with a head scissors but Deeb escapes. Deeb with a head scissors. Deeb with a side head lock and take down. Santana with a side head lock and flying mare but Deeb with a head scissors.

Deeb adds more pressure to the head scissors. Santana with a head scissors to escape. Deeb wants a test of strength and Santana obliges . Deeb with a wrist lock and fireman’s carry but Santana with a head scissors. Deeb escapes and Santana with a side head lock. Santana holds on to the side head lock when Deeb tries to send her off the ropes. Santana with a shoulder tackle>

Santana with a head scissors that sends Deeb into the ropes. Santana with a handspring elbow into the corner but Deeb with an arm drag or two. Deeb with an Irish whip followed by a monkey flip for a near fall. Deeb with an atomic drop followed by jabs but she misses a punch and Santana with a series of forearms.

Deeb with an Irish whip but Santana gets her feet up and she kicks Deeb away. Santana moves and Deeb hits the ring post with her shoulder. Deeb falls to the floor. Deeb with kicks to Santana on the floor but Santana with forearms and a head butt. Santana rolls Deeb into the ring and Deeb tries to pull Santana into the ring but Santana with a kick and then she kicks Deeb while hanging from the middle rope.

Santana with a cross body for a near fall and then she applies a cross arm breaker. Deeb gets to the ropes and Santana releases the hold. Deeb avoids Eat Defeat and Deeb hits a gutbuster from the shoulders. Deeb waits for Santana to get to her feet but Deeb runs into a boot in the midsection and both women are down. Santana with a round kick. Deeb moves when Santana goes for the handspring moonsault. Deeb with a spear for the three count.

Winner: Serena Deeb

Match Number Five: Amazing Kong (with Daffney) versus Taylor Made (with April Hunter)

Taylor avoids Kong at the start of the match to the approval of April at ringside. Kong tosses Taylor by the hair and then she chops Taylor in the corner. Kong tosses Taylor by the hair again and she goes to the floor and into the arms of April. Taylor returns to the ring and tries to clip Kong but it does not work too well.

Kong with a body block and then she stands on Taylor’s back. Kong with a head butt and then she chokes her in the ropes. Kong with a snap mare and a reverse chin lock. Kong with a chop and slam. Taylor with drop kicks but they do not budge Kong the first few times. The third time sends Kong into the turnbuckles and Taylor low bridges Kong and gets a near fall with a rollup.

Taylor continues to work on the knee followed by a drop kick and then she applies a step over toe hold. Taylor bites the knee. Taylor goes up top but misses a splash to the leg when Kong moves. Kong with a splash and clothesline followed by a spinning back fist and the implant driver for the three count.

Winner: Amazing Kong

After the match, Daffney stays in the ring and she says that she might have missed the December show, but she has been doing her homework. She will be debuting her new tag team. It does not include Kimberly since she wrestled earlier. One part of the team is Solo Darling. The other member of the team is someone she has been watching for a while. It is someone who caught he eye. The other member of the team is Heidi Lovelace.

Match Number Six: Solo Darling and Heidi Lovelace (with Daffney) versus The S-N-S Express (Sassy Stephie and Jessie Belle Smothers)

Stephie and Solo start things off and they lock up. Stephie with a wrist lock and Solo tries to get to the ropes but Stephie keeps her in the center of the ring. Solo tags in Heidi and they hit a double elbow drop. Heidi with a wrist lock and a kick to the arm. Solo tags back in and Heidi with an arm wringer and Solo with an arm drag. Jessie tags in and she kicks Solo. Solo with a take down and kicks to the chest.

Heidi tags in and she goes up to and hits a missile drop kick. Jessie rolls to the floor and Stephie checks on her tag team partner. Heidi teases a dive to the floor but Stephie and Jessie hit Heidi. Jessie send Heidi face first into the mat. Stephie tags in and kicks Heidi. Stephie works on the legs.

Jessie tags in and she stays with the leg and kicks her in the hamstring. Jessie slams the leg into the mat and then she applies a front face lock but Heidi blocks a suplex and Heidi gets a near fall with an inside cradle. Stephie tags in and they send Heidi into the turnbuckles and then wrap the leg in the ropes.

Stephie with a KneeDT and she kicks Heidi in the leg. Heidi sends Stephie into the mat but Heidi is unable to make the tag. Jessie tags in and hits an elbow drop to the back. Jessie with a splash to the back and she tries to get Solo to get in the ring.

Jessie with shoulders in the corner and Stephie is tagged back in. They send Heidi into the turnbuckles while Heidi has trouble putting any pressure on the injured leg. Jessie tags back in and she works on the ankle. Heidi gets to the ropes and Daffney tries to get the referee to force Jessie to release the hold.

Jessie kicks Heidi in the head but Heidi with an enzuigiri. Stephie and Solo tag in and Solo with a double sledge or two. Solo with chops to Stephie. Solo takes Stephie down and gets a near fall. Heidi tags in and they hit a double stroke but Jessie breaks up the cover.

Jessie tags in and they hit Kiss My Sass followed by a flying kick but Solo breaks up the cover. Daffney punches Jessie while Solo and Stephie took the referee’s attention. Solo with a bulldog and Heidi gets the three count.

Winners: Solo Darling and Heidi Lovelace

Match Number Seven: No Disqualification Match: Anything Goes Jessicka Havok versus Allysin Kay (with April Hunter)

Allysin comes to the ring with Jessicka’s gas mask. As soon as Havok enters the ring, Kay goes to the floor.

Kay takes her time getting into the ring and then she throws the referee in the way when Havok charges and Havok with a boot to the head. Kay hits Havok and then she goes to the floor and brings a chair into the ring. Kay hits Havok in the midsection with the chair and then she hits her in the back. Kay misses a chair shot and Havok kicks Kay to the mat.

Havok stomps a mudhole in Kay and then she hits the running boot to the head. Havok with a second boot to the head and then she calls for a third. Kay blocks it but Havok with a Saito suplex. Havok puts a chair over Kay and Havok with a running boot to the chair. Hunter pulls Kay to the floor.

Hunter puts a chair in the ring and she hits Havok from behind while Havok kicks Kay. Kay with a boot to Havok when she turns around and Havok goes down. Kay with kicks to Havok. Kay sends Havok into the pole and Kay with a boot to the head. Kay with a forearm to Havok but Havok with a forearm of her own. Havok throws a trash can at Kay and connects. Havok puts the trash can over Kay and kicks her.

Havok gets a bedazzled Hello Kitty bat but misses. Kay hits Havok with the bat. Kay punches Havok in the back of the head. Havok slams Kay into the stage and she chops Kay. Havok chokes Kay. Havok with her version of waterboarding of Kay. Havok Irish whips Kay into the ring steps. Havok chokes Kay and then applies a Japanese Stranglehold before sending Kay into the ring steps.

Havok rolls Kay into the ring but Kay with a forearm that knocks Havok to the floor. The referee starts to show some signs of life while Kay kicks Havok from the apron. Kay with a forearm and chop to Havok. Kay Irish whips Havok into the ring steps. Kay sends Havok into the ring. Kay with a forearm and then she tries to slam Havok’s head into the chair. Kay with a curb stomp onto the chair.

Kay thinks about making the cover but the referee is still down. Kay chokes Havok with the strap of the mask and then Kay puts it on. Kay with forearms to Havok and Havok fights back but Kay maintains control.

Kay takes the referee’s belt and she whips Havok with the belt. Havok slaps Kay and grabs the belt and she whips Kay and chokes her with the belt. Havok climbs the turnbuckles and lifts Kay up while choking her. Havok whips Kay again and then she grabs the chair and puts it on top of Kay. Havok punches Kay while she is on top of Kay. Havok jumps up and down on the chair and then she slaps her. Kay gets Havok off of her.

Havok and Kay each try for chair shots but they are blocked. Both go for boots and both go down. The referee recovers and sees both women down and he starts his count. They both get up but they hit each other with chairs and they go down again. The referee makes the ten count.

Double Count Out

Match Number Eight Nevaeh versus Leva

Leva runs Nevaeh into the turnbuckles before the bell rings. Leva with a super kick but Nevaeh with a round kick. Nevaeh chokes Leva in the ropes and then connects with a series of knees. Nevaeh misses an elbow but does not miss a clothesline. Nevaeh with a kick to the midsection followed by a suplex. Leva with elbows but Nevaeh with a forearm. Nevaeh with a shoulder in the corner. Nevaeh with a snap mare and neck snap followed by a sliding clothesline for a near fall. Nevaeh with a sleeper.

Nevaeh with a knee to the midsection. Nevaeh with an Irish whip and knee to the midsection for a near fall. Nevaeh misses a few clotheslines and Leva with a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Nevaeh with a clothesline to stop any momentum for Leva. Nevaeh gets a near fall. Nevaeh with a knee to the midsection. Nevaeh chokes Leva in the corner and the referee warns Nevaeh.

Nevaeh with a kick and she pulls Leva out of the corner. Nevaeh with a round kick to the chest. Nevaeh with a second kick. Nevaeh with a sleeper. Nevaeh with a front driver out of a belly-to-back set up for a near fall. Leva with a forearm but Nevaeh with a kick. Nevaeh with a slap to the back. Nevaeh chokes Leva in the ropes.

Nevaeh slaps Leva but Leva with forearms. Nevaeh with forearms of her own and the referee warns Nevaeh. Nevaeh with an Irish whip but Leva with an elbow and drop kick followed by a knee to the head. Leva with a knee to the chest for a near fall. Leva with forearms and a drop kick to the knee.

Leva with a low stunner and a cross body. Leva with a running drop kick of anger in the corner followed by a running knee. Leva with another running knee to the head in the corner. Nevaeh gets her hand on the rope to stop the referee’s count.

Nevaeh drops Leva on the ropes. Nevaeh is hanging in the ropes and Leva with a double stomp from the turnbuckles for a near fall. They exchange forearms and Nevaeh gains the advantage. Nevaeh puts Leva on the turnbuckles but Leva with punches and a head butt. Leva with a forearm but Nevaeh with a superplex.

Nevaeh with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Nevaeh with a German suplex and bridge for the three count.

Winner: Nevaeh

Match Number Nine: Angelina Love versus Leah Von Dutch

Leah attacks Angelina before the bell rings. Angelina with a kick and clotheslines. Angelina with a standing power slam for a near fall. Angelina with a baseball slide that sends Leah to the floor. Leah stays on the floor while Angelina tries to bring her back into the ring. Angelina sends Leah into the apron. Lean hot shots Angelina on the apron.

They return to the ring and Leah gets a near fall. Leah stands on Angelina’s hair. Leah chokes Angelina in the corner. Leah with a shoulders in the corner. Leah with an Irish whip and splash into the corner. Leah with a discus . . . thumb to the eye. Angelina with forearms but Leah with a knee followed by a side Russian leg sweep for a near fall.

Leah with forearms but Angelina with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner followed by a cross body for a near fall. Leah sends Angelina into the ropes and she chokes Angelina in the ropes. Leah stretches Angelina in the ropes and then hits a drop kick to the back and Angelina goes to the floor.

Leah kicks Angelina in the midsection. Leah with a knee to the midsection as Angelina comes off the ropes. She does it a second time followed by a suplex and she gets a near fall. Angelina with elbows to get out of the chin lock and then both try to take the other down by the hair. Angelina with a clothesline followed by a neck breaker for a near fall. Angelina gets another near fall.

Leah gets Angelina on her shoulders but Angelina with a sunset flip for the three count.

Winner: Angelina Love

After the match, Leah attacks Angelina from behind before going to the back. Angelina chases after her.

Match Number Ten: SHINE Championship Match: Valkyrie Collides: Rain (with April Hunter, Allysin Kay, and Taylor Made) versus Ivelisse

They circle each other and Rain warms up her finger poke finger and Ivelisse goes down but Rain will not get the cheap victory . . . BROTHER. Rain offers to lay down for Ivelisse but Rain was playing possum and Rain with an inside cradle. She says it was a force of habit. Rain with forearms to Ivelisse followed by a kick. Rain with an Irish whip but Ivelisse goes to the apron and she connects with forearm and goes up top.

Ivelisse with a head scissors from the turnbuckles and then Ivelisse punches Rain. Rain wants to know what is going on and Ivelisse says that Rain hit her first. Rain sends Ivelisse to the floor and Rain with a baseball slide to send Ivelisse into the side of the stage. Rain sends Ivelisse into the ring post and then the apron. Rain breaks the referee’s count and they return to the ring. Rain with boots to the midsection. Rain puts Ivelisse’s arms in the ropes and Rain with a drop kick for a near fall.

Rain with a knee to the head followed by a cravate. Ivelisse with punches but Rain locks in the cravate tighter. Ivelisse with a rolling mare and kick to the head but Rain with a drop kick for a near fall. Rain with a forearm to the midsection. Rain with a running bulldog for a near fall.

Rain with a Japanese Stranglehold and she stretches Ivelisse over her knee. Rain rolls over and turns it into a Japanese Stranglehold Clutch. Rain with a forearm but Ivelisse with a waist lock. Rain with a standing switch and short arm clothesline for a near fall. Rain with knees to the back. Rain with a cravate and neck breaker for a near fall.

Rain with kicks to Ivelisse and then she chokes Ivelisse against the ropes. Rain chokes Ivelisse again in the corner. Rain with a cravate and she sends Ivelisse into the turnbuckles. Rain and Ivelisse exchange punches and Rain with a neck breaker while Ivellise was in the ropes. Rain gets a near fall.

Ivelisse with punches and kicks. Rain blocks a kick but Ivelisse takes Rain to the mat and applies a leg submission but Rain kicks Ivelisse to get out of the hold. Rain with a front face lock but Ivelisse with a kick and belly-to-belly suplex and both women are down.

Rain with a kick and forearms. Rain with an Irish whip but Ivelisse with a super kick and she goes to the turnbuckles and hits a cross body for a near fall. Ivelisse with two more kicks to the head. Ivelisse with a rolling mare and round kick to the head for a near fall.

Rain tells Ivelisse it was not supposed to be like this. Rain with a kick but Ivelisse with an Irish whip. Rain moves and Rain gets a near fall with a rollup. Rain with a Codebreaker for a near fall. Rain slaps Ivelisse and pie faces her. Ivelisse slaps back. Rain and Ivelisse exchange forearms.

Ivelisse with a series of forearms followed by a chop. Rain chops back. They go back and forth with chops. Ivelisse forces Rain to flinch and she chops her. Ivelisse with kicks to Rain followed by a jumping spinning heel kick for a near fall. Ivelisse argues with the referee over the count.

Rain with a thumb to the eye. Rain with a kick followed by a package tombstone piledriver but Ivelisse kicks out because she was able to keep her shoulder off the mat for a moment. Rain with an implant DDT for a near fall. Rain kicks Ivelisse. Rain with a forearm.

Rain with more forearms while Ivelisse is tied up in the ropes. Ivelisse with a kick to Rain. Ivelisse with Code Red for the three count.

Winner: Ivelisse

After the match, Rain gets the mic. She congratulates Ivelisse on her victory. As long as the title is in Valkyrie, she is good by it. She hugs Ivelisse.

Rain tells Ivelisse she is not in Valkyrie any more. Allysin, Taylor, and April attack Ivelisse. Rain joins in the attack.

Jessicka Havok, Angelina Love, Amber O’Neal, and Serena Deeb come to the ring to attack Valkyrie.

Eventually Valkyrie leaves the ring and they check on Ivelisse.

Serena attacks Ivelisse from behind and Valkyrie comes into the ring to join the attack. More women come to the ring to fight off Valkyrie but they are kept out of the ring.

Serena unzips her sweatshirt to reveal a Valkyrie shirt. Rain says that Ivelisse was the huntress, but now she is the hunted.
