DID TNA HAVE WORST DEBUT EVER, JARRETT BACK IN WWE AND TNA?, WHY WWE WENT FAMILY FRIENDLY AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-01-18 10:00:00
With the hype being put out by Dixia and TNA, was the "debut" of the American Wolves one of the worst debuts ever? WTF? An akward 30 second vignette with "The Queen of Akward" about some "new investor". Way to bury the lead by introducing two plot lines at once. No wonder Jeff Jarrett took off.

It was a pretty piss-poor debut. I'd have had them come in and kill a team in the ring, then declare "Hunting season" was open, but that's just me.

Could the mysterious new TNA investor be Jeff Jarrett that is telling everyone he left to make a surprise return?

It's not Jeff Jarrett, although the angle could be a way to knock him now that he's gone.

What's the deal with Ryback? I've read that he's in hot water because of the Ziggler concussion and Lilian comments but all of his recent twitter comments make it seem like he's icing the cake, trying to get fired. What's the word on him backstage among management as well as among the locker room?

He's trying to be a heel in an era where no one really acts like one. I don't begrudge him for that. Behind the scenes, he has a reputation for hurting people in the ring and that's a big reason why he's push in the company was curtailed.

Why did WWE change their product from "Attitude" to PG? I know the official line is "this is what the fans want" - but I'm a fan and I liked the "Attitude" stuff better. Did it have to do with Linda McMahon's Senate run? And now that that appears to be over, is there any chance WWE could go back to a more edgy product again?

WWE wanted to reach out and find a new, younger fan base because the company felt they could find new sponsors and licensees by reverting back into a family friendly product. They also realized, correctly in my opinion, that they had gone as far as they could go under the Attitude era style of presentation and storylines. By pulling things back, they put themselves in a better position long-term and can always turn up the chaos if they so desire.

Do you think there's any chance Jeff Jarrett could make a surprise appearance at this year's Royal Rumble?

There's a chance, but I'd call it a miniscule one. But, you never, ever know.
