WWE BRINGING FORMER ANNOUNCERS BACK FOR THE NETWORK, DIXIE-JARRETT ISSUES, WHAT'S LEFT FOR VINCE TO CONQUER AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-01-10 10:00:00
Do you think TNA letting AJ Styles slip away may have been the final straw that caused Jeff Jarrett to resign?

No, whatever issues led to that departure were far greater than AJ Styles. Until Jarrett or Dixie Carter speak on them, we'll probably never know.

How good must AJ Styles feel about himself knowing on his first night back with Ring of Dishonor he carelessly messed up the Styles Clash and sidelined his opponent. Trained professional?

If you knew anything about professional wrestling, you'd know the injury happened because Strong didn't get his head into the proper position. While I am sure Styles feels terrible about the injury, the reality is that it wasn't his fault....just as the reality is you really should be ashamed of yourself for the tone of the question.

My question is about BJ Whitmer. I just saw him wrestling at a live ROH event and I thought he had to retire after being dropped on his head in the Mike Bennett match a few months ago? Was his injury partially a work or was it as bad as it was made out to be? Also, is Mike Bennett no longer using the Piledriver a direct result of the Whitmer accident? I have to think nearly paralyzing someone has to mess with your head. Thanks, I've followed the site since it started!

There was no angle in the initial injury or diagnosis that BJ Whiter should retire due to spinal stenosis. What happened is that as he continued to undergo tests, the diagnosis came back that the damage was not as great as initially feared and he was cleared to return to the ring, although he was warned about what additional damage he could cause doing so and will probably be far more cautious with his style in the ring. The Mike Bennett storyline was the company playing off of the real life injury to make Bennett a bigger star, nothing else.

What are the odds WWE brings back former announcers like Taz, Matt Striker, Todd Pettingill, etc. to help host the Network?

Taz is currently under a TNA deal, but I think the idea of getting announcers who live in the Northeast - as Striker and Pettingill do to augment the Network for host segments and original programming is actually a great, cost-effective idea.

With the Network launching, what's left for Vince McMahon to conquer?

Well, he hasn't gone into politics yet....just kidding, I hope! No matter what you accomplish in life, there will always be new goals you want to achieve, or else, what the hell is the point of living?
