RING OF HONOR TELEVISION REPORT: STRONG VERSUS RICHARDS; ELGIN VERSUS BRISCOE; AND JACOBS VERSUS COLE FOR THE WORLD TITLE IN JACOBS' HOME TOWN

At Death Before Dishonor, BJ Whitmer said goodbye to Ring of Honor as a result of the injuries suffered against Michael Bennett. BJ made a plea to have Nigel give Jimmy Jacobs another shot in Ring of Honor. Jimmy Jacobs talks about how much it meant to him to hear BJ talk about him that way. Jimmy was given five matches to show if he could win with honor. He won three of those matches and as a result, he would get to face the Ring of Honor World Champion. Tonight, we get to see that chance.

We are in Dearborn, Michigan and your announcers are Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino.

Match Number One: Roderick Strong versus Davey Richards (with Eddie Edwards)

Before the match starts, Roderick shakes Eddie’s hand so Davey does the same. We also get the Code of Honor followed by both men in the match.

They lock up and Richards with a wrist lock and Strong with a reversal. Richards with a reversal and single leg take down and then he gets Strong in a rocking horse and then he rolls Strong over and gets a near fall. Strong with a rocking horse of his own and he gets a rollup for a near fall.

Richards with a wrist lock and Strong with a cartwheel and reversal. Richards with the same and Strong tries for the StrongHold but Richard powers out of it. Strong misses a chop and Richards misses a kick as we go to commercial.

We are back and Strong with punches. Richards tries for a handspring back elbow but Strong catches Richards and hits a back breaker. Richards runs into an elbow from Strong and then he runs into a boot. Strong with a flying clothesline and chops. Richards with an Irish whip but Strong escapes the corner and then he hits a forearm in the corner. Strong with a slingshot Falcon Arrow for a near fall.

Strong tries for a back breaker but Richards counters with a crucifix for a near fall. Strong with an Olympic Slam for a near fall. Strong gets Richards on his shoulders but Richards gets to his feet. Richards tries for an O’Connor Roll but Strong holds on to the ropes. Richards has a kick blocked and then he goes for an enzuigiri but Strong ducks. Richards with a mule kick and both men are down.

Strong tries for the Gibson Driver but Richards rolls through and hits a double stomp for a near fall. Richards with a slam and he goes to the top but Richards has trouble because of his back. Richards gets to the top turnbuckle and he misses the double stomp when Strong moves. Strong sends Richards to the apron. Strong has a kick blocked and Richards with a knee bar in the ropes.

Richards goes up top and Strong with an enzuigiri. Strong sets for a superplex and he hits it but can only get a two count. Strong holds his knee after what Richards has done to him in the match.

Strong gets to his feet first and he connects with a forearm. Richards fires back. Strong with a chop but Richards with a kick. Strong with a knee. Richards and Strong with kicks followed by a German suplex from Richards and a Sick Kick from Strong. The referee checks on both men. They struggle to get back to their feet.

Strong chops Richards and Richards kicks Strong. They go back and forth with Richards getting the early advantage and then Strong. Richards hits Alarm Clock but he does not hit it flush. Richards with a running kick to the arm and then Richards goes up top and he hits the double stomp and gets a near fall.

Richards with the ankle lock but Strong tries to roll through. Richards holds on to the ankle and then Strong with an inside cradle for the three count.

Winner: Roderick Strong

Match Number Two: Mark Briscoe versus Michael Elgin

They lock up and Elgin sends Mark to the mat. Mark avoids Michael and then he chops Michael and follows with a head butt. Elgin with a shoulder tackle. Mark wants a test of strength but Elgin does not seem interested. Briscoe with a waist lock. Mark blocks chops and then Elgin blocks a kick and he flips Mark but Mark lands on his feet.

They lock up and Elgin with a side head lock. Briscoe with a waist lock and Elgin with a standing switch. Mark with a spinning heel kick followed by a splash attempt but Elgin catches Briscoe and hits a uranage for a near fall. Elgin sets for a suplex and he gets Mark up for a delayed vertical suplex.

Elgin gets a near fall. Elgin waits for Briscoe to get back to his feet and Elgin with a kick to the midsection. Briscoe escapes a power bomb attempt and Briscoe with an elbow. Elgin with a back elbow and then Briscoe with a jawbreaker and drop kick that sends Michael into the turnbuckles and Briscoe gets a near fall.

Mark with a punch to Elgin followed by a Saito suplex. Mark with a leaping elbow drop and he gets a near fall. Mark with head butts. Mark drops down and Elgin goes over the top rope to the floor. Briscoe with a baseball slide and then he tries for a splash off the apron but Elgin moves. Mark charges at Elgin but Elgin with a Bossman Slam on the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Elgin calls for the Buckle Bomb but Briscoe with a jackknife cover. Elgin blocks a kick and Elgin with a forearm to Briscoe. Briscoe with a flying forearm that staggers Elgin. Briscoe with another shot to the head and Elgin is only dropped to a knee. Briscoe with another flying chop and Elgin is still on his feet. Briscoe with a series of chops to the side of the head. Elgin with an Irish whip and Briscoe goes to the apron. Mark with a shoulder and then he goes up top and hits a chop to the top of the head and Elgin goes down.

Elgin with elbows but Briscoe with an uranage for a near fall. Briscoe with a fist drop and then he goes up top. Elgin with a palm thrust to the side of the head and Briscoe goes to the apron. Elgin goes on the turnbuckles and he sets for the deadlift superplex but Briscoe lands on his feet. Elgin with an elbow. Briscoe with a Death Valley Driver and Briscoe goes up top.

Silas Young comes out and tries to interfere but Jay pulls Silas off the apron. Elgin with a baseball slide to Jay and Silas. Elgin goes to the floor and Mark goes up top for a moonsault onto all three men.

The referee calls for the bell.

No Contest

More people come to ringside after the match to try to break everything up.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Nigel McGuinness has joined Kevin and Steve at the announce table.

Match Number Three: Jimmy Jacobs (with BJ Whitmer) versus Adam Cole for the ROH World Title

They lock up and they go around the ring. Cole backs Jacobs into the corner and Cole pushes Jacobs on the chest when he breaks. Jacobs with a waist lock and take down. Cole escapes and he gets Jacobs in a front face lock. Jacobs with a near fall. Jacobs and Cole with reversals and near falls.

Cole slaps Jacobs and Jacobs punches Cole. Jacobs with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Jacobs sends Cole into the turnbuckles. Jacobs with an Irish whip but he runs into boots from Cole and Cole uses the ropes for a near fall but BJ pushes Cole off the ropes. Jacobs with a drop kick to the head for a near fall.

Jacobs drives Cole’s face into the mat and then he hits a curb stomp for a near fall. Jacobs with a punch to Cole followed by an elbow in the corner. Cole goes to the floor and he wants a time out but Jacobs with a baseball slide. Jacobs sends Cole back into the ring and Cole with a drop kick. Cole tries for a suicide dive and Jacobs with a forearm and then he applies End Time in the ropes but the referee warns him.

Jacobs with a baseball slide but Cole catches him and Cole hits a wheelbarrow suplex onto the apron as we go to commercial.

We are back and Cole with a flying boot to the head and he gets a near fall. Cole with a waist lock and he tries for Florida Key but Jacobs counters and tries for a rollup but Cole counters on his own and he applies the figure four leg lock. Jacobs gets to the ropes and Cole takes his time to release the hold.

Jacobs sends Cole to the floor and Jacobs with a head scissors. Jacobs returns to the ring and he goes for a suicide dive but Cole moves and Jacobs lands hard on the floor. Cole pushes Whitmer out of the way and he tries to pick up Jacobs and he puts him back in the ring.

Cole sets for a super kick and he connects and gets a near fall. Cole tries for the Florida Key again but Jacobs with elbows. Cole with a Death Valley neck breaker followed by a flying kick for a near fall. Cole signals that it is over, but the delay allows Jacobs to apply End Time. Cole gets back to his feet and he gets Jacobs on his shoulders. Cole with a reverse rana but Cole with a boot. Jacobs with a spear and both men are down.

Cole rolls to the apron and Jacobs goes to the apron as well. Cole with a boot to the head and then he sets for Florida Key on the apron. Jacobs with elbows. Jacobs tries for the Contra Code on the apron, but he goes into the ring and then Jacobs with a spear that sends Cole off the apron and into the guardrails.

The referee starts his count while both men are down on the floor. Jacobs rolls back into the ring at seventeen while Cole gets back in at nineteen. Jacobs with a cutter for a near fall and then he applies End Time. Cole appears to be out but the arm does not go down a third time. Cole with a facebuster out of a suplex and the referee accidentally gets hit by Jacobs.

Cole grabs the belt and Whitmer takes it. Whitmer gives the belt to Jacobs and goes to the floor. Jacobs tosses the belt to Cole and he kicks Cole before hitting the Contra Code for a near fall. Cole goes to the turnbuckles for a senton but Cole moves. Cole is sent into the turnbuckles when he tries for the figure four. Jacobs goes for a springboard cutter but Cole with a super kick to the back of the head. Cole with a shoulder breaker and then he hits the Florida Key for a near fall.

Cole grabs Jacobs and he puts him on the turnbuckles. Jacobs with an elbow to avoid a super Florida Key. Jacobs tries for the Contra Code but Cole holds on to the turnbuckles and then Cole hits a double jump flip piledriver for the three count.

Winner: Adam Cole
