THE DANGERS OF WRESTLEMANIA'S NOSTALGIA ACTS, CENA AS UNIFIED CHAMPION, WWE DOUBLE BOOKING TALENTS & WHY THAT HAS TO STOP IMMEDIATELY AND MORE

If Cena wins the unification match at TLC will that make him a 15 time world champion or will championship count stay at 14?

Well, I don't know how WWE would play it off, but in my mind, when you defeat someone for a title, that means you won a championship, so that would technically mean he's won 15 separate WWE/World titles.

I bought tickets for a live WWE Holiday Tour Show on Monday, December 30th in Toronto. The same day they have a Raw Taping in Richmond. On our show they are advertising John Cena and others, but also advertising him on the Raw Taping. Obviously, he'll be at Raw, right? Aren't they setting themselves up for some sad kids once Cena doesn't show? And who can we really expect to see that won't be on Raw? The C-Team?

One would think that if Cena is needed for Raw, he will go to TV. It's obvious in recent months (see European tour) that WWE is disorganized when it comes to long term planning, which causes for a lot of last minute changes. Unfortunately, what that accomplishes is the creation of a lot of disgruntled fans. When you advertise something, in my mind, you need to do your best to deliver or make up for it. In WWE's case, Cena is their biggest star, so it's hard to make up for him not being present. They really need to get their planning in order or suffer the long-term ramifications of turning off whatever portion of their audience they disappoint. WCW had a lot of similar issues and it helped erode their live audience over time.

Why unify the titles now? Not at like WMXXX, Orton/Cena has been a dream match for some time?

The answer to that is WWE Creative. They opted to go in this direction because it's either a)building to something bigger involving the two or b)they have something grander in mind for Wrestlemania.

Is there a chance, even a small one this is where Cena turns? So unexpected b/c of all of Orton's "ties" to the Authority and Cena can take his spot as "Face of the Company?"

I really, really don't see it happening. They have too much wrapped up in John Cena as the ambassador for the company.

So there are talks of having Hulk Hogan at WMXXX... and Goldberg... and Undertaker... Triple H and Brock Lensar.... and The Rock is still a wild card.... and Steve Austin is still a possibility... maybe Roddy Piper.... I could go on, but I won't. So, who from the current roster is going to appear again? John Cena and Randy Orton? Oh, ok....

Welcome to the one thing I have been saying for the last five years - as Wrestlemania continues to morph into something of a nostalgia supershow, they are wiping out their own chances to build their current roster into bigger, more well known names. It's something I have railed on about annually, but so far, it doesn't appear to be something WWE is truly concerned with - which may come back to bite them on the ass at some point.
