We are in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and your announcers are Michael ‘Jason X is my favorite’ Cole and John ‘Takes Manhattan’ Layfield.

Big Show makes his way to the ring and he is dressed to wrestle. We are told that Triple H said in an interview that Big Show would be punished for his actions on Monday night. We see what Big Show did not do on Triple H’s orders.

Big Show is going to talk but he is handed something in addition to the microphone.

Big Show reads the note and he says that he comes out here tonight to humble apologize for his abhorrent behavior on Raw. He apologizes to Triple H for not doing the simple job he was asked to do on Monday night. He apologizes to the other Superstars for setting a poor example as a locker room leader. Most of all, he apologizes to the entire WWE Universe for just simply letting them down.

Triple H’s music plays and he makes his way onto the stage. He welcomes everyone to Smackdown. He thanks Big Show for his apology. He did not think it was very sincere, but it was an apology and he thanks him. He wants Show to understand that he is not picking on him, but he wants him to be a businessman. He is a locker room leader. Like Booker T said, he wants Show to be professional.

In any business, if the COO asks you to do something and you refuse, it is grounds for dismissal. Triple H says that he has no choice . . .

Big Show interrupts and tells Hunter not to do this.

Hunter says that he is not going to fire Show. He is going to suspend for tonight without pay. A night without pay really stings for Big Show because . . . Big Show is broke. Hunter wants Show to come with him.

Show leaves the ring and The Shield’s music plays so Show stays in the ring. The Shield surround the ring on three sides and they get on the apron. They enter the ring and they attack Big Show. Show pushes them off and then he head butts Reigns and punches Ambrose. He gives Rollins a forearm. He punches Reigns while Ambrose and Rollins work him over from behind. Ambrose with a drop kick that sends Show to the floor.

Show gets on the announce table and he wants the Shield to come after him. They surround Show like sharks surrounding a life boat. Ambrose and Rollins distract Show and Reigns hits Show in the leg with a steel chair. Show punches Reigns and then Show takes care of Rollins. Show sends Ambrose into the ringside barrier. Show with a spear off the table to Reigns.

Show sends Reigns into the ring and he grabs Roman by the throat. He does the same to Ambrose. Show turns around and he sees Rollins coming off the turnbuckles so Show releases Reigns and Ambrose and he punches Rollins in the midsection.

We are back and Damien is in the middle of his comments for the people of Ottawa and he tells his slack-jawed, mouth breathing, neighbors to the north. CM Punk guaranteed that he will get his hands on Paul and make Paul pay for his sins. Michael wants to know how they will keep Punk from getting his hands on Paul.

Curtis wants to know what is wrong with Cole. He says that Paul is stressed out. The pressure that Paul Heyman is under. The speculation is tantamount to hyperbole. CM Punk won’t get to Paul Heyman on Sunday because CM Punk cannot beat Curtis Axel.

Paul tells Michael that he knows what he is trying to do. Paul says that just because he has a persecution complex, it does not mean that he is not being persecuted. Paul says that he is not a fighter. He is not a man of war. He is an advocate of peace. That is why he comes to everyone with great humility and he calls for a public boycott of Sunday’s Night of Champions pay per view.

Paul asks if you really need to pay to see the destruction of Paul Heyman? Is there something better to spend money on? What about a college fund for your children? Maybe your wife needs a new pair of shoes. If you buy Night of Champions, you will see CM Punk get his hands on Paul. With all due respect to Curtis Axel, he taught CM Punk how to turn the system against itself. He will find a way to get past his client. Not because Punk is a better fighter or wrestler than Curtis Axel.

CM Punk was his prodigal son. That means if you do not boycott Night of Champions, CM Punk will hand him such a beating . . . CM Punk does not want to wrestle him. CM Punk wants to fight him. CM Punk wants to beat him up. CM Punk wants to slaughter him to the point where this is the last time you are ever going to see Paul Heyman.

Paul says that if this is the last time that they are going to have together, he wants to say that he will always love CM Punk . . . but he will never forgive each and every one of you.

We are back and it is time for The Cutting Edge and Edge makes his way to the ring.

Edge says that Triple H has allowed him to come here and host The Cutting Edge because it’s what is good for business. Edge says that the only reason he is here is because of everyone in the arena. He says it doesn’t mean that he will forget what happened between him and Triple H on Raw. It does not mean that he will forget that he has no respect for Triple H. He will not forget that Triple H married into his job and somewhere he lost his genitals.

He is not going to forget what happened to his best friend Christian when Hunter’s goon squad attacked him. He tells Christian not to come back for one more match, but to tear them apart.

He hasn’t forgotten that the Cutting Edge is the show where you cut through the crap. He asks the tough questions. He brings out his guests, the two men who will compete for the WWE Championship at Night of Champions.

Edge brings out Randy Orton first.

Then Edge brings out Randy’s opponent on Sunday, Daniel Bryan.

Edge points out that there is an awkward amount of testosterone and he knows how these things end up so he wants to ask Randy the first question. Edge asks Randy how it feels to be a sell out.

Randy asks Edge if these are his tough questions. He says that it is nothing more than a cheap shot from a guy who is jealous that Randy is a ten time champion and is just a washed up talk show host who cannot wrestle any more.

Daniel wants Randy to show Edge some respect.

Edge says that Randy forget that he is an eleven time champion. This is about Daniel winning the title at Night of Champions.

Randy says that he is not a sell out. He did what Daniel or Edge would have done. He did what anyone would have done. He took advantage of an opportunity that presented itself him. The McMahons have looked to him to be the face of the company after ten years of John Cena. Unfortunately, Daniel Bryan was not part of that change.

He says that Daniel is a great wrestler and he has a nice little following. Daniel is good for business, but Randy says that he is best for business.

Daniel says that he knows that the people want to put his fingers in the air and say ‘Yes’, but he doesn’t care what is best for business.

Randy calls Daniel naïve and says that Daniel will never be champion or the face of the business. He says that Daniel will just be a footnote.

Daniel tells Randy to shut up. He has been listening for weeks as Randy, Triple H, Stephanie, and Vince McMahon come out and talk about Randy is the face of WWE and what is best for business. This is not about adding numbers to a giant corporation. The best things in his life have nothing to do with what is best for business or what is best for the balance sheets or putting money in their pockets.

He is talking about love, satisfaction, passion, and about dreams. That is his dream and it is not on anybody else’s balance sheet. Daniel never dreamt of being the face of a corporation. All he ever dreamt about was holding that title. At Night of Champions, he will achieve his dream when he beats Randy and wins the WWE Championship.

Randy says that if Daniel wants the title so bad, he will do him one better. He will let Daniel achieve his dream tonight.

Orton attacks Bryan and he punches Daniel. Orton looks at Edge but Bryan puts Orton in the Yes Lock. Orton taps but it does not matter because this is not a match. Officials make their way to the ring to pull Bryan off Orton and Orton holds his shoulder.
